Add custom questions and fields to the data collection form
Hey Max,
Would this feature request and this one Form Submission be the same as capturing basic customer details like name, email address, and phone number prior to the start of chat session?
This is the usual best practice flow I’ve seen being used.
With thanks,
mw
Form submission request implies the form with the standard set of fields (like Email, Name, Phone Number) that can’t be edited.
And in this request, we consider the opportunity to customize the form fields ![]()
Thanks for the clarification. So does it mean that the Form Submission feature could/will be used as the “gate” prior to start the chat?
Please let me discuss it with the devs. I’ll get back to you once I have their response ![]()
@Master_Web In the first iteration, the form won’t be a required condition for starting the chat. However, you’ll be able to control when it’s sent: with the Welcome Message or after a 1st response ![]()

Please add more form functionalities. I would like to be able to add open text fields, multiple choice questions, consent checkbox for terms and conditions, general information fields, anything that helps to get a lot more info from the customer in order to generate a good pricing offer.
We need more info fom the lead, more than just name, phone nr and email.
Hey there, @Leroy1 ![]()
Thank you so much for the feedback! This is a nice suggestion, and we’ll try to think it over in the future, especially if it gets more votes ![]()
By the way, the Consent field is already available in the widget:
A post was split to a new topic: Create custom form fields with condiotional logic
Hi,
For the “Customer Information Collection Form” function, I would like to see additional form fields.
Currently, these three are predefined: name, phone number, or email address.
A date field and an additional text field (which can be individually named) would be useful. I would like to use it for entering a time.
This has the advantage that the chatbot would then be ready to accept appointment cancellations.
For this, I would only need the name, date, time, and most importantly, active confirmation to process the information correctly. Currently, I handle this with a contact form, and the bot provides a notification.
Perhaps this could also be combined with this project.
