More flexible event repeat options

Would love to be able to set an event to repeat on say, the third sunday of each month, or the first wednesday of each month. We use this for our venue and have monthly events.

Yeah, I love your idea, and I’ve moved it to the thread with a similar request. The good news is that we’re already working on this request to provide more variations for the repeat option

When there is a recurring event the date doesnt display properly as it shows the date range rather than the next occurance of the event. It would be really handy to be able to have the option to display only the next date in the range or even change it to say, every tuesday (for example), because the current display makes it look like the event runs everynight for the entire period

I cannot but agree that a more accurate repeat option is required, and the good news is that we’re already working on it! This update is set to be released in Q1, so we look forward to announcing it very soon

In case it’s helpful, priority functions are to repeat events:

• First-, second-, third-, or fourth-specific weekday of the month, eg third Saturday every month

Multiple days of the month would help with client requests I’ve received and could put into immediate practice, eg

• First and third Mondays (for a more intuitive fortnightly cadence, especially when a rogue long month throws fortnights off their monthly cadence)
• First-and-second, or third-and-fourth Saturday each month (clients dedicate their Saturday events to different groups by which Saturday of the month it is)

Elfsight Event Calendar app was the platform that most-solved our event display requirements, and this monthly-repeat function will ensure a blindspot is resolved and the app retains parity with the event platforms the app links to. Offering these additional monthly repeat functions for greater flexibility will help Elfsight retain its advantage going forward.

It would be very helpful if the site showed event dates as a viewable column when looking at the dashboard of events. It would help distinguish repetitive events we manually put in because it doesn’t let us put an end date for recurring events.

Please give us the ability to add an end date for recurring events. It’s very frustrating to see that we can set it as auto-recurring but actually have to do it manually because this feature doesn’t allow an end date. People can’t think the event goes on infinitely. There’s not much of a point of of giving us a recurring option if we can’t decide when that stops.

Please allow us to display events after 30 days. People plan ahead and it doesn’t look good if we don’t have events next month.
