Calculator: Send calculation results directly to email + Integrations! 🚀

Hey everyone, we’re super excited to share that it’s finally here! :tada:

You can now send the calculation results to the needed email address in our Calculator app!

How does it work?

To enable this feature, go to the Results section on the Build tab and choose Open Form for the Button action

When clicking on the button, you'll see a popup with the form

Once the user submits the form, you'll receive a notification with user's inputs, results and form details

Adjusting the form settings

Want to customize the form? No problem!

You can easily adjust the form’s look and settings in the Edit Form section:

Here, you can:

  • Add any fields you need for your form

  • Customize the button’s appearance and behavior

  • Set the email address to receive notifications

  • Enable spam protection

  • Use Integrations to receive submissions

Available integrations

You can also send results to Google Sheets, Mailchimp contact list or Zapier using the integrations available in the widget:

Guys, have you tested the new functionality? How did it work for you? Share your feedback in the comments - we’d love to hear what you think

Having now integrated the new send results form, I can’t seem to work out the following;

  1. There are no merge codes for the form fields to manually edit the send to email (update: YES this is available with instructions on coding, like other formatting, although its not pulling through the personalised

field data from the pop up form fields)
  2. There is no conditional formatting available in the edit forms
  3. It would be good if the submit button would only work/display, once the required calculator fields are completed fully, as currently you can send it with missing information if not fulfilled fully.

Hi @Darryl

Thank you for your questions!

  1. Could you please elaborate on what merge codes you mean?

  2. This is a great and I’ve added it to the Wishlist on your behalf - Conditional logic for form fields

  3. You just need to make the fields, which must be filled, required. I’ve checked it and everything worked great for me. However, if something is wrong on your end, please describe the issue in more detail (name of your Calculator widget, fields where the issue occurred and the value you’ve tried to enter).

Hi Helga, very happy with this update. I would love to be able to send the results to the respondant in a pdf and also be able to add other attachments to the results email. for example we use the calculator to give a price for work, it would be great to be able to have attachments with our insurance docs etc

Hello! First - thank you for this great update!
I have tested option for client to send me attachments. This works good.
But when sending client a copy of his sent request, these attachments are shown as long link and does not look professional (well, in my opinion :))
Client receives a link to his sent attachments like this:

Can it be done in a more compact way?
Those long links may seem suspicious (imo)
Thanks!

Hello guys

Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience with - that’s much appreciated!

@Simon_Welberry Your sounds great and I’ve added it to the Wishlist on your behalf - Send results to respondants in PDF format and option to send additional attachments

@Sa_Up Unfortunately, it’s impossible to receive files as attachments at the moment, but I’ve also added this suggestion to the Wishlist - Receive files as attachments instead of links

Hello there. To make more people fill the calculator, it would be great if there was option to completely hide the form button until it is filled

Hi there, @Michal_Mocko

Thank you so much for the feedback!

You can make all fields required and users won’t be able to submit the form until all fields are filled:

Does it cover your use case, or you’d still prefer hiding the Submit Button?
