Yes, you do have to re-trigger the training process when there is new content.
However, there are already suggestions for triggering this automatically.

• Use widget's greeting message as a dynamic announcement space

• Pull knowledge base from my own database

• Automatically update the knowledge base after any changes made on the page or after set interval (training with URLs option)
