Your AI Chatbot can have the latest information in its knowledge base and still give an outdated answer.
This often happens when an old offer, policy, or instruction remains in another document or section. A quick knowledge base check from time to time can help prevent this.
Remove old information
Outdated offers, archived pages, or leftover instructions can easily lead to wrong answers.
Manually retrain web pages
If you use website pages to train your assistant and update them regularly, remember to retrain the widget manually so it can access the latest content.
Note: Automatic page updates are not currently supported, but this request is on our Wishlist. Feel free to upvote it to receive notifications about any progress
Organize docs by topic
Separate documents for FAQs, services, pricing, policies, and support rules are easier to maintain than one large file.
Spot-check regularly
From time to time, test the 5–10 questions your visitors ask most often. If an answer feels outdated, the related section probably needs a refresh.
Keeping a knowledge base accurate often means removing old information, not just adding new content.
Do you review your knowledge base on a schedule, or only after the assistant gives an incorrect answer? What usually becomes outdated first?
