Hey everyone :wave:

We are so happy to announce a big release for the Event Calendar! The new features are all about making event management simpler, and we hope they’ll make your life a little easier :blush:

What’s inside the update?

Edit events right from event popup

We’ve added a new feature that lets you edit events directly from the event card. Just click the event, and you’ll see the Edit button in the popup:

This makes editing quicker and easier, especially with a lot of events in your widget!


Display of event date and image in the event list

Event dates and images now appear in the event list, making it easier to view all your events at a glance:

Repeated events now have a distinct icon, so you can easily spot them:

Chronological order in the event list

Events in the list are now automatically sorted in chronological order:

Note: The manual drag-and-drop sorting option has been removed.


Past Events section

Past events are now displayed in a separate folder:

I am looking forward to a major update of the appointment booking widget so that I can use it to offer room booking. I can’t do that right now.

I really hope the devs will add features to the module this year.

I’ve been waiting for this - thank you :slight_smile:
I have about 60 entries per year with similar headings and now I can see which event I’m looking for by the date in the preview. The fact that they are in chronological order also makes it easier, great!!!

Love the updates, thank you!

Suggestion - Add options to the image feature where we can crop, edit, select the right section to display before clicking into the event where you can see the entire image. Often times I upload photos and I have to edit them over and over again outside of Elfsight so the display image fits correctly. Hopefully that makes sense.

As for your suggestion, it sounds great, and I’ve added this idea to the Wishlist on your behalf - Option to adjust the image size right in the widget

If it gets more votes, it might be considered in the future :slightly_smiling_face:

This is one of the best updates so far! So much easier to read information. I just need to be able to export this list now into .ccsv or excel format.

Regarding the Export to CSV option, we already have this idea on the Wishlist. Feel free to upvote it here - Export events to a JSON or CSV file
