Hi @David_Smails and welcome to Community
Yes, it should be the right option for your use case
Hi @David_Smails and welcome to Community
Yes, it should be the right option for your use case
Thanks for the promt reply. Do you have a rough date you will be expecting to release it?
Unfortunately, we don’t have any ETA for now. However, once any news come up, we’ll immediately let you know in this thread
For us a simple appointment booking widget would suffice… just allow the user to enter his full name, phone number, email address (make these mandatory) and of course show the available time slots based on business hours (that can be set in settings). Only allow new appointments that are in time slots that are not already booked. Then send an email confirmation with Gmail Calendar integration where they can confirm their attendance one last time.
Hey there @Roland_Buck and welcome to Elfsight family
A huge thank you for such a detailed description of your use case!
We agree that all the mentioned functionalities are highly important and we’ll try to include them into the app.
We’ll keep you abreast of any changes here
Thank you Max! Looking forward to the new widget when it is released… keep up the good work.
Roland
Hi Helga, is the Appointment Booking still coming in 2023? This would be great as I need it for a current customer project. Please give us an update on this. Thanks.
Hi Markus, many thanks for your interest!
We’ve let our devs know that a request for Appointment Booking widget is now the hottest one in the whole wishlist, that is they have some food for thought
What I can say for sure is that we won’t release it by the end of the year, but we might start considering the development process in Q1. Of course, things may change, and I’ll be happy to post an update here as soon as I have more specific data.
Thank you so much for your understanding and for sticking with us!
I’ve personally been waiting over 2 years now. It’s not ok that your team still doesn’t have an ETA.
Dude they release more widgets/apps than almost any company I’ve seen and they’re clean as can be. Let them do their thing as they can.
I’m not a dude. I don’t care. You pay your money just like I do. I paid so that I would have what they advertised at the time. Let them do their thing slow with your money. This is the 3rd year for me (in Jan. 2024) I’ve been with them and they haven’t produced. Stop telling us eventually because I’m paying another site for a booking app on top of what I pay here (yearly). Now I’m going to have pay another site for job board because their’s doesn’t even have a search bar. They put up apps that look pretty and missing key features. How do you have apps with no search feature? that’s basic.
I agree with you that a search feature should be a basic function of their widgets. Overall they have useful apps and it seems that they are willing to listen to our requests. If they promised you a booking widget for three years then you are entitled to be upset. If there was no such promise then your comments were too harsh…
Thank you. You can see my original comments on this thread from 2 years ago. They falsely advertised that they had certain apps but they were in production. Thats why I’m upset. Now I’m paying for Commoninja and they have free job board with search feature. The interface isn’t much different from Elfsight so I’m like come on. This can’t be had difficult.
@Justin98 @Roland_Buck thank you so much for your support, guys, it means the world
@Patricia your feelings are absolutely understandable, and I’m truly sorry that our updates haven’t quite met your expectations so far. Although we’re trying our best to make our widgets not only good-looking but functional as well, we have to prioritize things and stick to the plan. Usually, we consider the most popular requests first so that more people get desired functionality faster. This is exactly the reason why we opened a Wishlist and gave you an option to suggest your ideas and vote for other requests - they do help us get our priorities right. We’re happy to see how active you are in our wishlist, as your opinion and feedback do make a difference.
As for the Coming Soon page, you have a point here. We actually have an idea to rewrite it and make things more clear, so we’re planning on adjusting it. I’m sorry that this news don’t entail an ETA yet again, we’ll try to work on this, too.
Thank you so much for your thoughts, folks! Your opinions are crucial to us – after all, what would be the point of everything we do without your input?
This looks very nice, I’ve used quite a few premium plugins before and currently use sprintful.com which is also great. it’s very clean and makes the user journey so simple. A point that many plugins I’ve used seem to forget.
For me the following are imperative, but many fail to include.
Option to have utm values captured and included in the admin email notifications so we know immediately the source of the client.
Option to allow the client to cancel or reschedule the appointment
Option to allow emails/sms for client reminder 1 hour before & follow up 1 hour after.
Configurable email to allow admin to design email body/subject etc
Backend reporting on bookings
Option to use it as standalone without Outlook / Google calendar. For companies that have central admin it’s really important. So a booking comes in, the admin then assigns that to a staff member rather than having the email sent to a single cal.
Good luck with it, hope it goes well.
Hey there @Gary_Brett
A huge thank you for such a thorough description of your use case - it’s much appreciated!
I agree that all the mentioned functionalities are important and we’ll try to consider them
Once again, thanks a lot for your input and, yes, welcome to Community!
I currently use calendly - Id like this feature as well
Hey @Maxwell_White
We greatly value your feedback, thanks for sharing it with us!
We’ll keep you informed about any progress in this thread
There should be a widget for meeting planning
