Excellent, can’t wait to implement this. Craig

Once someone is logged in, will the comments connect? Like a community across multiple pages?

Hi @Nookie, thanks for your question!

Do you mean whether a logged-in user will be able to comment on different pages? If so, then yes — they definitely will! Could you, however, elaborate a bit on what you mean by “connected comments”?

I just read this full thread and what a journey! Glad mine is starting in 2025 and not 4+ years ago. Is there an updated ETA on this comment widget?

Wild to see this community simply build solutions with AI. A testament to those here. I’m not waiting on Elfsight based on what I’ve read, but I remain hopeful that they will follow through in 2025 (although it was on the 2024 road map, and requested since 2021).

Thank you for your comment, @Stephen_Rowe, and welcome to the community! :waving_hand:t2:

I’d love to clarify that this Wishlist is definitely a place for every Elfsight user to share their request or suggestion, but we cannot guarantee the implementation, especially a fast one. We’re absolutely happy to hear from you to make our widgets even more functional and on point (we’ve actually released 500+ requests from this Wishlist by far), but our development priorities depend on various factors, including technical complexity and user demand. Hope you understand

As for the Comments widget, although we prefer not to set ETAs (features might not pass the Code Review stage), we’re doing our best to release it in a few weeks. Fingers crossed!

Hi There, Was looking to see if there are any other updates surrounding the launch of this widget?

thank you!

I’m trying to find a solution for allowing my users to post and view testimonials. Should be an easy thing to do. If the comments widget could be used for that as well, would be very groovy.

@Holly_Lufkin @Manish_Gupta Hi guys, thanks a lot for your comments! :hugs:

I’ve just recently talked to the dev team about the Comments widget, and it seems they are putting the finishing touches before moving to Code Review! I think we can share more details next week

Hi @user18401, thanks for your interest

You know, I can’t wait either! I’ve talked to the devs, and here’s a bit of the inside info: we’re hoping to release it in a couple of weeks if no critical issues come up.

Just to clarify, this isn’t a confirmed deadline or ETA, so we still can’t guarantee anything, unfortunately. But I’m sharing this for you to know we’re doing our best to deliver the Comments widget as soon as possible

@here Hello, dear friends! It’s been almost 2 months since the release of the Comments widget, and we’d love to hear your thoughts! Your feedback would be greatly appreciated :raising_hands:t2:

  • Are you using the widget? If so, could you share your use case?
  • What features do you love the most?
  • If you haven’t installed it yet, what held you back? Are there any key features missing?

Thanks a lot in advance! We’ve put a lot of effort into this widget, and we’re excited to hear any feedback, comments, or suggestions

A post was split to a new topic: Like and Dislike page widget and thoughts about comments

A post was merged into an existing topic: Enter a real name without login

An interesting feature for this widget would be the ability to add images and GIFs to comments.
