CNC Lab Works, run by @Heather_Taylor, is a CNC routing company based in Tempe, Arizona.
What’s nice about this site is that it doesn’t try to look like something it’s not. You open it and quickly get the picture: local CNC shop, real equipment, real projects, real people behind the work.
There are a lot of things already going in the right direction. A few tweaks could make the site easier to read and more convincing for someone who’s about to request a quote ![]()
What’s working well?
The site has some really strong points and here’s what we liked most:
Clear local positioning
The hero message, “The highest quality CNC services in Arizona” quickly tells visitors what CNC Lab Works offers and where they work.
For a local B2B service, that’s a strong start. If someone is looking for CNC routing in Arizona, they’ll understand they’re in the right place right away:
Bright, consistent CTAs
The main buttons across the page all use the same bright orange color: Contact Us, Our services, See our work, Get in touch!, and Get a Quote.
They stand out well on different backgrounds and create a clear path through the page. Wherever visitors land, the next step is easy to spot:
Real workshop photos
The photos in “Our Routing Services” and "Why Us?" sections look like they come from the actual workshop. You can see machines, materials, the working space, and people doing the job.
For this type of business, that’s much stronger than polished stock images. It helps visitors picture who they’re dealing with before they even get in touch:
Good value message
The blue section does a nice job explaining that CNC Lab Works is not just about routing:
“We put your ideas into production. With our in-house Auto-Cad design services and CNC routing capabilities, your project will be done right the first time and every time”:
That’s a useful message because it shows a fuller service: design support plus production.
Real customer reviews
Our Google Reviews widget features real reviews with names, profile photos, and specific comments:
For a production service, this kind of proof is important. It shows that other customers have already trusted the team with real projects.
The local presence is clear
The site shows the full Tempe address, a Google map, a local phone number, and an email address.
These small details do a lot of trust-building. Visitors can see that this is a real local shop they can contact, call, or visit:
The tagline fits the business
Thoughtfully Designed. Expertly Crafted.” is a nice fit for this kind of company.
It’s short, memorable, and nicely connects both sides of the company: design thinking and hands-on production:
Active social presence
The site links to Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and also includes an Instagram feed with work examples.
That’s a good move for a visual production business. It gives visitors another way to see real projects and get a feel for the team’s work:
What Could Be Improved?
There are a few areas where the website could become clearer, stronger, and easier to navigate:
Hero copy & CTA
The current subheading, “Let us transform your ideas into reality!”, sounds nice, but it’s quite generic. It doesn’t say much about CNC routing, materials, scale, or what makes this team different.
The main CTA, Contact Us, is also a bit broad. Since the nav already has Get a Quote, this would work better as the main action too.
[!tip] Recommendation
Make the hero more specific and change the main CTA to “Get a Quote.”For example: “In-house design and CNC routing for wood, plastics, and large-scale fabrication.”
Mixed Services section structure
The “Our Routing Services” section includes Wood, Plastics, and Project Portfolio.
Wood and Plastics are service/material categories, while Project Portfolio is more of a showcase. Because of that, the section feels a little mixed:
[!tip] Recommendation
Separate services and portfolio into 2 blocks.Keep materials or service types in Our Routing Services, and move Project Portfolio into its own section below with a clearer message like “See examples of what we’ve built.”
Why Us section
The “Why Us” section has strong points: Accuracy, Repeatability, Quick Turnaround, Production, and Large Scale:
The only issue is that they’re shown mostly as single words. To understand the real value, visitors need to open each accordion.
[!tip] Recommendation
Add one short visible explanation under each point. For example:
Accuracy — Precise routing for detailed parts and repeatable results.
Quick Turnaround — A clear workflow that helps projects move faster.
Large Scale — Equipment and setup for bigger fabrication needs. The accordion can still stay, but the main benefit should be visible right away.
Missing process section
For someone ordering CNC work for the first time, the next step may not be obvious.
Do they send a drawing? Describe an idea? Wait for a quote? Approve a timeline? Pick it up in person? The site doesn’t really show that path yet.
[!tip] Recommendation
Add a simple “How We Work” section that shows the key steps of the process.
Empty space in the blue section
The blue section under the hero has a strong message, but visually it leaves a lot of empty space:
Since this area is already about value, it could do a bit more work.
[!tip] Recommendation
Add a few key numbers or trust facts next to the text. For example: years in business, number of completed projects, in-house design + production, or Arizona-based experience. This would turn the section into a stronger trust-building block.
Final thoughts
Cnclabworks.com already shows the most important things well: what the company does, where it’s based, what the workshop looks like, and what real customers say about it.
The next step would be to make the copy and structure a bit sharper, especially in the hero, services section, and process flow. That way, new visitors won’t just think “looks legit,” they’ll also understand what to do next.
