Website Review #4: Analysis and Improvement Ideas for sichermit.at

This time, we’re checking out sichermit.at, IT services company run by @Stefan_Umgeher.

The site already feels solid, and we’re excited to dig into what stands out and what could make it even stronger :backhand_index_pointing_down:

What’s working well?

We’ve spotted quite a few strong points on the site. Here’s what stood out to us most:

Clear niche from the start

The headline “Stressfreie IT-Betreuung für Handwerksbetriebe” does its job well.

It immediately speaks to a specific audience and helps the right visitors understand they’re in the right place:

Precise numbers that build trust

A 32-minute average response time and a 4.98 out of 5 rating are not rounded marketing numbers but real metrics. This level of precision feels credible and convincing:

Certifications and partnerships

Certified Data & IT Security Expert, certified data protection expert, accredited NIS Expert, Cyber Trust Austria, KMU.DIGITAL — a strong set of credentials.

In cybersecurity, these trust elements are critical, and they are well presented on the page:

Real reviews on the homepage

The Google Reviews widget adds solid social proof. Real names, photos, and ratings make the feedback feel authentic and trustworthy:

Clear 3-step customer journey

Erstgespräch → Analyse → Umsetzung is easy to follow. It gives visitors a clear picture of the process and makes the first step feel less intimidating:

Funding offer is well highlighted

The “Förderungen erhalten” button on the first screen is a smart move. For the Austrian market, subsidies like KMU.DIGITAL can be a strong motivator and help catch attention early:

What Could Be Improved?

There are a few things that could make the site even stronger, and we’ve grouped them into three priority levels:

Quick fixes

Step labels feel slightly out of place

The STEP 1, 2, 3 labels use sharp borders, while the rest of the site leans toward softer, rounded elements. This makes the section feel a bit disconnected:

[!note] Recommendation:
Adjust the style to match the rest of the design. Rounded shapes or filled backgrounds would fit better.

Medium priority

The section on the right feels a bit overloaded

The text on the right side of the first screen is quite long and placed over an image, which makes it harder to read. This is the most important area of the page, so clarity is key.

[!note] Recommendation:
Shorten it to 2–3 quick points or remove it and strengthen the main message on the left. Extra details can be moved further down the page.

56 satisfied customers since 2024 may work against you

The stats section is a great idea, but this number might not create the strongest impression. Some visitors may compare it to larger competitors and focus only on the number:

[!note] Recommendation:
Replace it with a stronger metric, like resolved requests, retention rate, or implementation speed.

Long-term plans

Too many sections use the same layout

Several sections rely on similar card-style blocks, which makes them feel repetitive. When everything looks the same, it becomes harder to scan:

[!note] Recommendation:
Change the format of one section. A timeline, accordion, or icon-based list would help add variety and keep attention. Each new section should be different from the previous one to keep the visitors focused :slightly_smiling_face:

How do Elfsight widgets perform?

We also took a closer look at how widgets are implemented across the website. There’s already a strong setup in place, and it’s great to see multiple tools working together:

Accessibility

The Accessibility widget works smoothly and adds real value by offering essential accessibility modes that help make browsing the website more comfortable and inclusive:

It’s currently available on the homepage, which is a great start. At the same time, accessibility works best when visitors can rely on it throughout the entire website, not just on one page.

[!note] Recommendation:
Add the widget to all pages so visitors can access it at any point during their journey.

We also noticed that the current button color feels slightly different from the rest of the site’s visual style, so a small design adjustment could help it blend in more naturally.

[!note] Recommendation:
Adjust the button color to a darker blue to better match the overall style and existing UI elements.

Google Reviews

The Google Reviews widget on the homepage adds solid social proof. Real names, photos, and ratings make the feedback feel authentic and trustworthy.

However, the review text and dates are shown in a light color, which reduces contrast. Since reviews are a key trust element, they should be as easy as possible to read:

[!note] Recommendation:
Use darker text for the content and dates, while keeping names in the accent color.

Timeline

The Timeline on the Über Uns page looks great. Short descriptions paired with high-quality visuals highlight key milestones in a clear and engaging way:

Calculator

The Calculator on the Preise page is a practical addition. It allows users to quickly estimate the cost of protection packages based on the number of computers, making the decision process easier:

Appointment Booking

Adding the Appointment Booking widget on the Kontakt page is a smart move. It lets potential clients book an initial consultation in just a few clicks:

[!note] Recommendation:
Enable the business profile details on the Profile tab. Displaying the business name, logo, and working hours will make the booking experience more informative and trustworthy.

+1 widget recommended

It’s great to see several widgets already working together on the site. One more widget that could be a strong fit here is the AI Chatbot :rocket:

For an IT services company, it could help answer common questions, guide visitors to the right service, and stay available even outside working hours. It’s an easy way to make the website feel more responsive and helpful from the first visit, so it could be well worth testing.

Feel free to give it a shot and ask questions if anything comes up

Final thoughts

Sichermit.at already has a strong and professional base. There’s a lot done right, and with a few small tweaks, the site could become even clearer, more engaging, and easier to scan.
