Welcome to the very first post in our new category ![]()
Today we’re kicking things off with the website of @Michael_Surnak — K9 Pooper Troopers , a family-run dog waste removal service based in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.
Let’s take an honest look at how the site performs ![]()
What’s working great?
Michael has done a really solid job with the foundation of the site. It’s clear, has personality, and immediately communicates what the business is about.
Here are the things we particularly liked:
Clear value proposition from the first second
The headline and military-themed branding (“Pooper Troopers”, “mission-ready”, “Your Property, Our Mission, Your Victory”) instantly tell visitors what the business does and make it memorable:

Strong local + personal touch
Mentioning that it’s a family business (Michael and Erin) adds a lot of warmth and trust — which is really important when people are letting you into their backyard:
Logical structure and good flow
The “How It Works” section with 5 clear steps, separate residential and commercial pages, and service area map make the site easy to navigate:
Fun and consistent branding
The military concept is carried through nicely and helps the site stand out in a pretty unusual niche:
Solid calls-to-action
- The prominent “GET YOUR FREE QUOTE” buttons are well placed and encourage visitors to take action:
What could be improved?
The biggest opportunity for growth right now lies in performance and technical optimization:
Unused CSS codes
The site is loading a significant amount of CSS that isn’t actually used on the pages. This slows down loading speed.
Removing unused CSS is one of the quickest ways to improve performance:
Largest Contentful Paint
The main image in the first screen has lazy loading enabled, which delays the largest content. Disabling lazy loading for this specific image should noticeably improve the score.
Layout Shift
There’s a small layout shift caused by the All-in-One Reviews widget. Our devs can add a simple skeleton loader to fix this — just let us know if you’d like us to help with that ![]()
Reduce JavaScript execution time
JavaScript execution time is one of the factors affecting your performance score. Some scripts on the site take quite long to load and run.
The Announcement Bar widget is mentioned in this warning, since it’s a floating widget and it’s installed in the initial viewport.
Our devs can help fix this by adding a skeleton loader and a first-activity attribute to the widget. If you’d like us to take care of it, just let me know and I’ll pass the request to the team.
How do Elfsight widgets work on the website?
We really like how Michael is using our widgets!
The clean and bright Calculator makes it super easy for visitors to understand the cost of your services. The Form Builder is well organized and helps you collect leads smoothly. Plus, the All-in-One Reviews and Social Feed widgets bring nice social proof directly onto the website.
Overall, Michael’s approach to using Elfsight tools is smart and thoughtful — great job!
Final thoughts
Michael has built a solid foundation: clear offer, likable branding, and strong local focus. The site already communicates the service well.
With some performance improvements it has excellent potential to convert even more visitors into happy customers.
@Michael_Surnak , you’ve built an awesome website! Thank you for participating in our very first review!
