The display of the whatsapp plug in opens to frequently without asking

The display of whatsapp opens to frequently without asking resulting in too many hits. I already tried to limit the hits however it does not seem to work. I am under the impression that it opens more than requested. Pleas look into it or tell me what to do. Regards

Hello @Immo_MORE and welcome to Community

Do I understand correctly that you are talking about the chat window opening too frequently?

In this case, you can set Open Chat triggers tight in the configurator:

If it didn’t help or I misunderstood you, please elaborate on your use case and share a direct link to the webpage where your widget is installed. I’ll be happy to look into this for you :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @Immo_MORE

Thank you so much!

I’ve checked your webpage and see that only the chat bubble is displayed, and the chat window appears only after clicking on the bubble:

As for your screenshots, the chat window in the configurator is opened by default. However, to display it on your website, you need to click on the chat bubble.

In case I misunderstood you, would you mind sharing more details on your use case? What element of the widget appears too frequently?

The widget opens to much. This is not correct with the reality with the few visits on my website.

I got you!

I have to say that the views are counted not by the number of your website visitors, but by the number of widget loadings on your website.

Even if the widget is not showing due to its settings, views are still counted from every page where the installation code is added.
You can try reinstalling widget to specific pages only, hopefully it will help.

You can check more detailed information in this article - Why my views have gone so fast.

I’m really sorry that you haven’t been aware of that. I hope that it makes things clearer now.

If you have any further questions or any assistance is needed, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help :slightly_smiling_face:
