Store Locator: Search and find nearest locations 🚀

One of the most anticipated features is finally here :fire:

Now you can allow your website visitors to search locations by ZIP code, name and address in our Store Locator app. This search lets you find the nearest locations to you.

What’s inside the update?

  • You can find the Show Search Bar setting on the Directory tab.

  • If search is enabled, the browser will ask for permission to access your current location when opening the page with the widget

  • Once your location is detected, it will be automatically added to the search.

  • After the location is entered, you’ll see the marker with this address in the center of the map.

  • If no markers are visible after centering, the zoom will be adjusted to show at least one marker.

  • For vague searches (like store names, four-digit zip codes, or streets in multiple cities), the current map area provides context. For instance, searching for KFC while the map is set to France shows French locations.

  • After searching for a location, the location card will display the distance from your point to that place, and the list will be sorted from nearest to farthest.

This is great. How far away are Filters? so people can search and fillter for tags, or hide business/locations not interested. eg… cafes… or even items (if we went that far with tags)

Hey there @Shire_Talk

We are so happy that you enjoy the new feature! Thank you for the feedback

As for the filters, it’s challenging to provide the ETA for this feature at the moment. We see that it would be really helpful for many users and, hopefully, our devs will consider this opportunity in the future :slightly_smiling_face:

We’ll keep you posted in this thread - Categories/filters.
