Optin Self-Assessment

A self-assessment can be an excellent tool for opt-ins for several reasons:

  1. Engagement: Self-assessments actively involve users, making them feel engaged and invested in the process. This interactive element can be more appealing than passive content, encouraging users to complete the assessment and opt-in.

  2. Personalization: By gathering information about the users’ needs, preferences, and current situations, self-assessments allow you to offer more personalized and relevant content or recommendations. This personalization can make users feel understood and valued, increasing the likelihood of them opting in.

  3. Value Addition. A well-crafted self-assessment provides immediate value to users by offering insights or feedback based on their responses. This value proposition can be a strong incentive for users to provide their contact information in exchange for the results.

  4. Trust Building: Self-assessments can establish credibility and trust by demonstrating your expertise in a particular area. When users receive meaningful and accurate feedback, they are more likely to view you as a knowledgeable and reliable resource, making them more willing to opt-in.

  5. Segmentation: The data collected from self-assessments can be used to segment your audience more effectively. This segmentation allows you to tailor follow-up communications and offers to specific groups, increasing the relevance and effectiveness of your marketing efforts.

  6. Lead Qualification: Self-assessments can help qualify leads by identifying those who are genuinely interested and ready to take the next step. This can help you focus your efforts on high-quality leads, improving your conversion rates and overall marketing efficiency.

  7. User Insights: The information gathered from self-assessments provides valuable insights into your audience’s pain points, preferences, and behaviors. This data can inform your marketing strategy, content creation, and product development, ensuring that your offerings align with your audience’s needs.

Overall, a self-assessment is a powerful tool for capturing user interest, delivering personalized value, and building a stronger connection with your audience, leading to higher opt-in rates.

Hey there @Justin_St_James

Thank you so much for such a detailed description of the possible benefits from the Self-Assessment app.

It would also be really helpful if you could share your vision for this app. What features are must-have? Are there any design preferences? Do you have an example of the app with the similar functionality?

Max

I wasn’t able to load my example as a “new member” . I made a screen recording but it’s too large to send at less than 2m long.

The best I can do is provide a link Conor McGregor’s app, “Fast”

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mcgregor-fast/id1508610588

I’ve seen these assessments in fitness training apps and they are very engaging and almost fun to do.

His self assessment if brief, only 3 questions. I think the assessment doesn’t require an optin ( it’s not transactional). It after two introductory videos that you can skip.

Sign-up happens after you take the assessment.

Must-haves

Personal branding and color customization
Tagging
Ask up to 7 assessment questions
It’s not necessary but it would cool to add a personal video but that could be something else entirely.?!

There are all I can come up for now. Simple is best and intuitive is best.

Thanks!

Got it, thanks!

There is a chance that our Form Builder app might partially cover your use case.

Here you can create a multistep form, placing each question to a separate page and finally displaying a sign-up page:

However, our app doesn’t have a password field which is crucial for the sign-up. You can vote for this idea in the Wishlist - "Password" field type

Anyway, feel free to give it a try and let me know if it worked for you :slightly_smiling_face:

I will check it out. Thanks!!
