The widget of the year! Thank you for rolling this out. Maybe it’s because I’m on mobile but how do I actually write content for the blogs I make ?

Hi there @Lesan

Thanks a ton for your fantastic feedback!

You can write/edit posts both from mobile and desktop editors. On desktop, you just need to click on Add Post button and you’ll see the area where you can write posts:

On mobile devices, you also need to click on Add Post button and then click the Close button:

After that, you’ll see the section for writing posts:

Also, you can use the AI Writer option for creating posts:

Hi @Max, hi everyone,

Great widget :+1:t2:

However, I find it a shame that the AI Writer is not available with the free plan. I will immediately make a suggestion so that we can benefit from this feature with the free plan. I do not find it normal to pay to benefit from this feature that makes our lives so much easier.

Thanks in advance and congratulations again for this great widget :clap:t2: :clap:t2: :clap:t2:

Hi there @romano97002

We are excited to hear that you enjoy our new app. A huge thank you for your feedback!

Regarding the AI Writer feature, actually, it’s available for the free plans but with the limitation of 3 post generations per widget. To increase this limit, you’ll need to upgrade to a higher plan.

Just to clarify, did you hit your generation limit, or did the AI feature not work at all on your free plan?

Hi @Max and thanks for your reply,

Yes I have reached the generation limit indeed.

I had made a suggestion to you in this regard so that the limit of 3 AI responses could be lifted for users of the free plan.

By the way, why is this feature not free and unlimited for users of the free plan?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Got you!

The thing is that the AI is quite an expensive feature, and each generation comes with its additional costs. This is why we’ve decided to set such limits at the moment.

I hope this explains things

If you have any questions left, just let me know and I’ll be happy to answer them :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi we have a couple widgets. I looked at one of the templates for the blog widget here but didn’t see any options for a categorization feature. We have several vertical markets we serve and like to have our blogs contain helpful categories to sort or filter by. Is this a feature or planned feature or did i miss something in my review of the template?

Hey there, @Cindy_Cook

Yeah, currently this option isn’t available in the widget, but we have a couple of similar ideas on the Wishlist.

Please vote on them if you’d like these features to be released:

  1. Set categories to the posts

  2. Add tags to posts and tag filter

Hello. Can you elaborate where the articles are actually hosted. Interested on the SEO aspect of this widget. Is the content of my blog in my website or in the elfsight website? Thanks

Hi there, @user5764

Yes, our Blog app is SEO-friendly and the blog content will be hosted on your website :slightly_smiling_face:

A post was split to a new topic: Is Blog widget GDPR compliant?

Hi guys,
Thanks for the blog widget it looks great, just a couple of questions though. It seems we cnnot add images within the post nor use html. Is this feature coming. Having a Wysiwyg editor in the interface would be very helpful. My posts are not straight text, they are tutorial style posts where I insert gifs, images and links to other content, and embed videos showing people how to do things. This is key to what I write about and I’m sure would be for many others as well.

I appreciate you rolled this out very quickly as it was very much wanted, and it takes a long time to develop things. Just wondering if these extra features are on the road map for development? Something as simple as this editor would be great. Many thanks.

@Victoria_Hansen Thank you so much for the feedback!

Yeah, we are going to create a special guide for our Blog widget, which will be available in the Elfsight Widgets Tips category in the near future :slightly_smiling_face:

A post was split to a new topic: Issue with image apsect ratio in Blog

I see! I had no idea I can just start typing on the preview area. Question, so in order to manage a blog that author must be signed into my main account ? I do not think i want any of my clients accessing their own blogs through my account. There must be an option we can provide them for their own login

Hi there, @Lesan

Yes, right now this is the only option to get the access to the widget. However, we already have a request on the Wishlist for creating a separate accounts for clients. Feel free to upvote it - Agency Account.

Also, there is a request for sharing access to the specific widgets only - Provide a client with access to specific widgets within his project

Let me know if you have any further questions :slightly_smiling_face:
