Issue with "Write a Review" Button Not Clickable After Publishing

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with the “Write a Review” button (displayed in German on my website).

The button works perfectly in the preview mode within the Elfsight editor. However, once the widget is published on my website, the button is no longer clickable.

This is quite embarrassing, as it directly affects user interaction and reviews.

Could you please help me identify the cause of this issue and suggest a solution?

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards,

Hey there and welcome to the Community, @Meet_You :waving_hand:

The thing is your widget is installed in an iframe, which prevents popup elements from opening. To fix it, you should reinstall the widget avoiding iframes. This article explains how you can do this - Installing Elfsight widget on Framer avoiding iFrame - Elfsight Help Center.

If it doesn’t help, please request the installation of your widget and our Support Team will gladly assist :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello Max,

Thank you very much for your support. Your instructions were really helpful, and everything is working perfectly now.

I truly appreciate your assistance!

Best regards,

Awesome, thank you so much for the feedback!

If any further questions come up, we’ll be more than happy to help

Thanks,

Another question,

I currently have a yearly subscription, but I’m close to reaching my usage limit.

I was wondering if it’s possible to purchase a 1-month subscription for the All-in-One Reviews widget, just to handle the current situation.

Or is upgrading my current plan the only option?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The subscription extension doesn’t reset your views usage. So, there are 2 options

  • Wait for the next view refresh on April 14.
  • Upgrade to a plan with a higher view limit.

However, I am glad to say that we have a special promo campaign that allows our users to get a 30% lifetime views increase. So if you enjoy our app and leave us a review at g2.com, we’ll be happy to increase your limit up to 6500 views

It’s done, but it’s currently pending approval. When will I receive the bonus? Once the review is approved?

Great, thank you so much!

I’ve gone ahead and extended your views limit up to 6500 views

Thank you very much for granting the bonus, I really appreciate it! :hugs:

It’s my pleasure

Hello Max,

Some of our clients have recently left reviews on my website. However, the issue is that they appear under pseudonyms, and they are not posted on Google — I’m not even sure which platform they are coming from.

The problem is that I’m unable to retrieve or reuse these reviews.

Is there a way to have reviews posted directly on Google instead of under a pseudonym?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Hi there, @Meet_You :waving_hand:

These reviews were submitted through the form that lets visitors leave reviews directly on your website.

This form is controlled by the Collect Reviews via Widget setting. It appears when someone clicks the Write a Review button:

Using this form, visitors can leave their feedback, add a rating, and enter their name or a pseudonym. Since the form isn’t connected to any external review platform, these reviews won’t show a platform name.

You can read more about this feature in this post: All-in-One Reviews: [MAJOR UPDATE] Collect reviews via widget, enhanced review managing and more! 🔥

If you’d prefer users to leave reviews only on specific platforms, you can switch to Only review platforms instead:

Reviews collected through the widget are marked with the Elfsight logo in the configurator list. You can also hide them there if needed:

Please let me know if this clarifies things or if you have any questions left

Hello Max,

Thank you for your quick response — I really appreciate it. However, I think we might have a different understanding of what “collecting” means in this case.

What I’m actually trying to do is find a way to collect these reviews into a database, so I can reuse them elsewhere — for example, in another widget with a different style, since I already have many reviews widgets on my website. Unless this feature is not available yet.

I also have another concern: I’ve already upgraded my subscription to the Pro plan, but I’m still limited to 6,500 views instead of 50,000.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Got it, thanks!

With the way the Collect Reviews via Widget option, the submitted reviews appear in the widget right away. If you’d like to collect reviews into a database, our Form Builder widget should be the best option.

This article explains where you can find the collected reviews: Where to find your Form Builder submissions - Elfsight Help Center.

If you’d like to use the All-in-One Reviews for the review collection without an immediate publishing them in the widget, please upvote this Wishlist request - Pre-moderate reviews collected via widget

As for the views, this issue occurred because of the custom 30% extension. I’ve updated it and the new limit has been applied.

Let me know if this helps or if you have any questions left :slightly_smiling_face:
