Interruption in the work of the Twitter Feed app

Due to technical issues on Twitter’s side, the widget is currently experiencing connection difficulties and troubles with updating.

Elfsight Support have advised me that they are closely monitoring the situation.

I’m reporting this as a bug so that others in the Elfsight community can track the status here.

Currently, the advice received from Elfsight was to simply disconnect and then reconnect the Twitter Feed widget to Twitter, however this does not currently resolve the issue, as the issue is on Twitter’s side (as I’ve been advised).

Elfsight Team, if you can add or let me know more about this issue, and also specifically details we can find on Twitter status pages regarding the connection issue then that would be greatly appreciated. So that we can follow along too.

The only Twitter API status current (at the time of posting this new topic) is “Degraded service for the Engagement API”. I’m unsure whether (or not) this is the issue behind Elfsight’s Twitter Feed widget is not loading, however it does not seem related. This is why I would like and greatly appreciated if anyone else can provide me with updates on this bug.

Dear @user934, thank you for reporting this issue and for all your kind words!

We’re so frustrated about this setback if I’m honest! We realize that this is a huge inconvenience for a lot of users, and the fact that the root of the issue is on Twitter’s side doesn’t let us affect the process.

We however are keeping tabs on this situation and hope to find a way to somehow get everything back to normal at least until the global fix from Twitter.

Sure thing, we’ll keep you in the loop, so you’re welcome to watch this thread.

Thank you ever so much for your understanding and support! :pray:t2:

Hello Elfsight,

I was checking your Social Feed widget and noticed the following error message was appearing:

Twitter: Error: You currently have access to Twitter API v2 endpoints and limited v1.1 endpoints only. If you need access to this endpoint, you may need a different access level. You can learn more here: https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api/getting-started/about-twitter-api

Unsure, but suspect the error with your Twitter Feed widget is the same?

Please investigate (and if the bug is no longer on Twitter’s end and is in fact now on Elfsight’s end resolve).

Thank you.

Hi @user934

You are absolutely right! Unfortunately, this error is the part of the Twitter Feed issue.

I am terribly sorry about all the inconvenience!

Our devs are doing all their best to fix the issue as soon as possible. We’ll keep you in the loop here.

Thank you for your patience and understanding
