General Questions | Appointment Booking Widget

Excited to see this widget!

Questions:

  1. Where can I find the master documentation for this widget?
  2. Does it offer the option to connect to Outlook (i.e., business calendar)?
  3. Does it offer the option to set up different booking slot times (e.g., 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour), providers (e.g., Helga, Max, Renata, Petar), and services (e.g., Initial Consultation, Premium Consultation, Press Inquiry) with corresponding dropdowns in the frontend?
  4. What payment portals does it currently support?
  5. How does the widget handle time zones? Say, I have a prospect in London, UK that wants to make an appointment, but the site/providers are located in Dallas, US. This is critical for our team - we are global.
  6. Does the widget offer an option to add a separate tax/vat to the final price?
  7. Does the widget offer an option to offer a booking discount based on a published discount code?
  8. Does the widget offer an option to import existing Google Calendar (or other calendar) appointments?
  9. How are credits deducted when using this widget? Per view? Per booking?

Thank you!

Hi there, Petar!

I’ll be happy to answer your questions:

  1. You can check out the basics of the app here: Appointment Booking Knowledge Base

  2. Outlook integration isn’t supported yet, but it’s already on the Wishlist. You can upvote it here: Outlook Calendar Integration

  3. You can add multiple services, each with its own duration. However, all services currently share the same schedule, and adding staff with individual schedules isn’t possible yet. This request is on the Wishlist too: Staff with Custom Schedules

  1. The widget supports the Stripe payment system. Here’s a guide to set it up : Accepting Payments in Your Appointment Booking Widget - Elfsight Help Center

  2. The widget uses the timezone of the connected Google Calendar. Here’s how to connect your widget: Sync with Google Calendar

  3. Adding taxes to payments isn’t available yet, but there’s a request for it: Add Taxes to Payments

  4. Discounts on payments aren’t supported at the moment.

  5. Yes, if your widget is synced with Google Calendar, events added directly to the calendar will block corresponding slots in the widget.

  6. There are no booking limits or credits; the only limit is the standard views limit, like with all Elfsight widgets.

If you have any questions left, I’ll be happy to advise :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks @Max! Great answers. For now, we’ll definitely consider using the widget once Items 2, 3, and 6 are incorporated into the widget.

Concerning Item 5, can you ask your developers if there’s a way to convert the host’s available calendar times to the visitor’s local time? This feature is available with many WordPress booking plugins. The feature, if and when available with your widget, will ensure that service providers – for example – are not booked at 3 or 4 AM!

Again, thank you. Your prompt and timely support is greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, there is no way to add the automatic time zone conversion now, but this idea is on the Wishlist: Automated Time Zone Conversion

If this request gains more votes, we’ll try to consider it down the line :slightly_smiling_face:
