Elfsight got affected by Cloudflare global network issues [Resolved]

Hello !
During the Elfsight maintenance, my AI chatbot widget stopped working and no longer appears on my website, contrary to what they say. :frowning:
Is it the same for you?

Hello @Arnaud_BOUVARD!

Unfortunately, we confirm the issue - due to global issues on the Cloudflare side, our service was also affected. We’re monitoring the situation and will keep you updated here :folded_hands:t2:

You can keep tabs on this here: Cloudflare Status - Cloudflare Global Network experiencing issues

Hi @Helga, I was following the matter live –> we experienced a huge increase in volume on our calculator, got updated via e-mail shortly after eachother that our calculator was about to go down due to the view limit on our plan. In between instant refreshes of the dashboard the views increased with 50+.

Is it possible to create a “status” page for us to check if something is going on server / widget wise?

Thanks!

Thank you for your comment, @StoreVanNederland_Be!

I’m really sorry about this situation, and I fully support the idea of adding a Status page. Right now, we don’t have it, but we have this suggestion in our Wishlist, and you’re welcome to upvote it here: Status Page

As for the current issue, you may track the progress here: Cloudflare Status - Cloudflare Global Network experiencing issues

I do hope we’ll have it sorted out soon :folded_hands:t2:

@Helga thanks for the quick reply. As a matter of fact we are online again! But the views haven’t been set back to the previous amount. So we are now still facing going down due to the view limit. Could you set it back to the amount we had before the issue struck?

Thanks!

Lars

Hi @Nick_Cao, it all depends on how fast Cloudflare resolves the issue on their end

We just hope they’ll bring the fix as soon as possible :folded_hands:t2:

Hi @No_Faff_Marketing, we’re really sorry about this inconvenience

Unfortunately, we got affected by the global issue on the Cloudflare side, and we’re waiting for them to apply a global fix. After that, all the widgets affected will be brought to normal.

I’ve moved your topic to another thread where we post updates on the situation so that you stay in the loop.

Hopefully, Cloudflare will resolve it soon :folded_hands:t2:

Ah, what a bummer, I get it. Thanks for confirming that this is the cause. Not much we can do, just wait!

@No_Faff_Marketing Alas, that’s correct, just waiting :weary_face:

The Community Calendar and Contact Form on my website are both down. Is there any ETA on getting this resolved? Thanks!

@Isa_Leshko I wish we had any ETA, but since the root cause is on the third party’s side, we’re just following their updates :sad_but_relieved_face:

According to their status page, they are “continuing working on restoring service for application services customers”. We’re just hopeful it won’t take hours :folded_hands:t2:

It works, thank’s !

Hey @Helga! Thanks for that. Yes, it will take approximately 24-48 hours for all of Cloudflare’s edge points (i.e., servers) to come back online. Cheers!
