I’d like to be able to put an AI Chat window on a page. (For example on a newspaper article.) And users can chat with an AI (like Perplexity, or ChatGPT/Claude/Grok) for free, but after their 10th question (that week) a message appears saying they must subscribe to Perplexity (whatever AI provider the widget uses) to have unlimited questions.
And then I’d also like to be able to create buttons like “Summarize this page” or “Provide counterbalancing articles”, etc., but each button press counts as 1 of the users’s free questions, and so (just like above), after their 10th question they are told they must subscribe.
When a user subscribes, that means all my AI features are fully accessible to them. It also means I’d get a HEFTY referral commission (ongoing).
I think this would be a flexible and unique way to monetize AI, and all it’d take is for ElfSight to have an agreement with Perplexity or some other AI provider. IMO, Perplexity would be better than ChatGPT (etc.) because they are up on the current events. Another option is company selling subscriptions that give you access to various AI’s.
