Content Locker Widget

I am new here (Elfsight) - I noticed this widget was request back in 2021, so 3 years there is not plan to add it soon? I am asking because it could be one of the reason I could considerate to upgrade

So happy to see you here, @Angel_Lopez, welcome to the Elfsight community! :hugs:

I’m truly sorry that our ā€˜coming soon’ widgets have appeared to be not soon at all. I’m afraid, I cannot share any news regarding the Content Locker now, meaning that we haven’t set any plans for this very widget yet :disappointed:

I’m truly sorry about it, and I’ll be happy to post an update here as soon as I have anything to share.

Meanwhile, maybe I can suggest any other widget for you? Feel free to share your website and a brief description of your business, we’ll be happy to help

Thanks Max :grinning:

You can access the website or a page only if you put the correct user and password, or a passcode

That’s a great suggestion, @galleta_melendez, thanks a lot for sharing!

I believe we have a similar request for the ā€œContent Lockerā€ widget, so I’ve merged your idea with that request. You’ll see all the updates about the Content Locker here as well

This is a REALLY REALLY good one. Several years ago, I had so much fun creating web build outs to reveal new, unique content from my clients to their audiences, that I honestly hated having to pay 3rd party plugins to lock content, just wanting to retrieve a social media ā€œfollowā€, or an email capture, etc. This could be a very GREAT addition to the ElfSight lineup!!! Great suggestion there @Jgriffinstewart !!!

Actually, here’s one UI example, I just found from a web development I made years ago. Though ElfSight would master creating these social content panels/boxes, this was the idea here. ElfSight! This would be awesome!!! Looking forward to the possibility of this here!

Thanks for upvoting the idea and sharing your example, @JuanBeras

If this idea gets more votes, we’ll try to consider it down the line :slightly_smiling_face:

Password protect a page or website. Similarly to the age verification app but with a set password instead.

Welcome to the Community, @Emma_Hackett

Happy to say that this idea is already on the Wishlist. I’ve moved your comment to the related thread, where we’ll keep you in the loop :slightly_smiling_face:
