Welcome, @Mathias_Oyan, and thanks a lot for your comment!

It seems you need an Investment Calculator, right? If so, could you please specify your use case and just name all the fields you’d want to see in the widget?

For example:

Field 1: Starting amount
Field 2: Years to grow
Field 3: Expected rate of return, etc.

This would really help me understand your use case better

Hi!
My idea is to create a widget that allows you to create a quote by the responses/options you choose.

Let’s make an example:
Quote calculator for a sofà.

Q1. Do you want it to be made of fabric or leather?
Option1: “Leather” [value=200$], Option 2: “Fabric”[700$]

Q2: how many seats does the sofa have?
→ Text box, or a slider to set the value [70$ per each seat]

Ecc…

Total Price:
Value Q1 + Value Q2 + ecc…

If you want some other reference my idea is to create a widget really similar to Calconic or involve. A widget that allows you to get a custom price based on the give answers.

Hi @Francesco_Brandani, thrilled to have you in our community! :raised_hands:t2:

Great points, many thanks for sharing! I see, you need to create options that combine a question with a price and then calculate a total sum. Copy that!

I’ve shared your use case with the devs, and I’ll be in touch if we need further details

Many thanks for your help, it’s very much appreciated!

Any updates?

I need a calculator that compares savings over time using fuel 1, 2, or a mix of both, showing the projected ROI over time by using either fuel based on variable prices of each.

Hey @Randall_White, thank you for your interest! We won’t lie if we’ll say that we’ve already put a great deal of efforts trying to figure out the concept of our Calculator widget. Currently, we’re discussing the design, and I hope I’ll have more info to share soon

Thanks a lot for sharing your use case!

Would love to see this feature come out soon! I own an interior design business and we are looking for a rough-estimating calculator for our clients to preview how much they can expect to spend for our services.

We typically price per square foot, so if we can have the ability for the client to enter their square footage, maybe checkbox a couple modifiers which would apply to their base service (Imagine an add-on service situation)

I know this is a tough app to deliver and there’s a million different calculators. Perhaps y’all can make a few different calculator apps as opposed to trying to create one that can handle all the various calculator needs. Ex: one for mortgage estimates, one for construction estimates, etc. However if y’all can figure out a universal calculator app that can be configured by the web developer to meet all those use cases, more power to you and I’d be just as happy. I think it would just be a shame to make all users wait longer for that long-term solution if a simple, albeit more niche solution might be available sooner.

No matter what, I would love to see a calculator of any kind come to fruition!

Hello,
I wanted a savings calculator widget / solution.
Example:

  • User chooses what item they purchase weekly. In the background, the system would know the price of the item they choose.
  • Then the user chooses the frequency that they purchase that item per week
  • Output would show how much they would save if they go on a subscription plan instead of making individual purchases. Eg subscription costs $20 per week but individual purchases costs $38 per week. So on subscription, the user saves $38-$20 = $18

@user9931 @user9937 thanks a lot for your comments, folks, and welcome to the community!

I’m really happy to say that it seems your use cases will be supported in the Calculator app! :star_struck:

There will be an option to add formulas with specific requirements to perform calculations according to your use case, add-on options (chosen options will affect the total sum), and we’re also developing an option for you to add images to make nice cards for your products

The above are already in development, I’ll also keep you in the loop on progress

Hello there @user10214

At the moment, our devs are actively working on the Calculator app. However, its development is a rather complicated task that requires a significant amount of time and careful consideration of all the details. That’s why, we can’t provide any ETA for this app at the moment. I am really sorry!

Once any news from our devs come up, we’ll immediately let you know in this thread :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you so much for your feedback and welcome to the Community!

This is a priority for us and would use it.

Great to hear that you’re interested, @Patrick_Hill!

We also see the Calculator widget as a very promising project, and we’re really trying our best to make a solid widget with decent features and design. We’ll keep you updated here

And welcome to the Elfsight community, happy to have you with us!
