it would be nice to add a language switcher or to make the widget compatible with language switcher already installed (a.e. G translate)
Hi Silvia,
Thanks a lot for sharing your idea!
This is a nice thought, and we’ll try to consider this possibility in one of the future updates
Thank you for your help!
Implementing an auto translate for all the apps or for some.
For example, the logo showcase, auto-translate could translate the header text with your preferred languages.
This would be a great addition for Elfsight as many of us use websites around the world with different languages and different currencies. At the moment we are limited to only one language, English.
Hi @Richrd and welcome aboard
Do I understand correctly that you just want to add Language setting? For example, like in Google Reviews, so that you don’t need to manually translate every widget element:
Or maybe you need the widget to be automatically translated on the website depending on the visitor’s IP address?
Hi @Max,
Yes, but this would only allow us to translate into one language. We are not able to translate for example English to French and Portuguese at the same time as well.
If the widget would switch automatically depending on the visitor’s IP or web browser language would be great.
Got you!
We’ll try to consider such an opportunity in our future updates. We’ll keep you posted here
Thanks a lot for your help!
Great!
This would be a good update to target potential future Elfsight customers around the world :))
Yes I Agree.
Automatic translation will be great, but also a manual translation that switch based on IP address would be great.
Hi @Flowbridge
We are so grateful that you’ve decided to share your thoughts!
I totally agree that it would be just an amazing addition and we’ll try to think in this direction in our future updates. We’ll keep you in the loop
Hi Max,
Do we have any news on this feature? Is it being considered?
Thanks!
Hi @Richrd
We haven’t got any news from our dev team yet. I am so sorry
Since we get a huge number of requests, we have to be picky and choose the most popular requests first. If this idea gains more votes, we’ll try to speed up this process.
Rest assured, we’ll keep you informed about any changes here
Hello friends, long time no see!
You know, we’ve come up with a couple of questions to better understand your needs, so we can set the right direction for our next steps
It seems you need our widgets to work with language switcher tools you’re using. Here are the possible solutions we suggest for discussion:
1. Compatibility with Translation Tools.
There are many different translation tools available, making it impossible to support them all. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to deliver this very possibility.
2. Our Website Translator widget
This widget will translate not only your website content but all our other widgets as well. Essentially, with this one widget, your entire website content, including our widgets, will be translated seamlessly.
3. Language Auto-Fetch.
We could add an option to automatically translate content in your widget based on particular factors like the language of the website page or the user’s browser language.
4. Manual Language Option.
In this case, you could manually change the language in the widget if need be.
Which of the above-mentioned options would be the most suitable for you?
Thank you so much for your reply in advance!
Hi,
Thanks for the options. If 2. Our Website Translator widget is released and works seamlessly, we will implement it on our website and this would be the best way forward.
If not, then 3. Language Auto-Fetch.
Many thanks!
Hey there, @interval
Great news - Website Translator app is already live! Feel free to test it out
Greeting @Helga,
Is it not possible to implement option 1 with Google Translate as a separate widget? Also, is it not possible to implement option 3 as a separate widget? Ideally, all the options would be integrated into one widget.
I think all the use cases are important, as it provide flexibility for developers. Though, I think, Auto-Fetch (Option 3) is best since not additional actions are required from visitors. The other options require visitor intervention, which does not create the best user experience in my opinion.
Best wishes.
mw
Hi @Master_Web, many thanks for sharing your thoughts!
As for the first option, our Website Translator widget already does the same thing, i.e. translates content in all Elfsight widgets
Regarding option 3, are you suggesting a separate widget that would need to be installed on your website to translate other Elfsight widgets based on the user’s location, browser language, or other factors?
If so, I’m not sure it would be a promising solution marketing-wise, as it would likely be more suited for internal use. However, it does sound like a useful feature for individual widgets, and we’ll try our best to consider it if other users express interest!
it would be nice to add a language switcher or to make the widget compatible with language switcher already installed (a.e. G translate)
Folks, our former Wishlist portal, where our users shared their requests and suggestions, was transferred to this forum. You’re most welcome to vote, add new ideas, and leave your comments here — we surely will consider them all!

@Silvia This makes absolute sense, thank you for adding.
@Helga does Elfsight’s @Translator Widget do this?
Best wishes,
