Again, the most useful feature for me is the filtering system in the Event Calendar widget.

At first, I was just using it in a basic way, but then I realized I can use things like Event Type, Tags, and Venue to organize everything almost like a mini marketplace. So instead of just showing events, I can actually let users filter experiences by category, location, or type. which makes a huge difference.

What I like about it is that it saves me from building something complicated from scratch. I can structure everything inside the widget, and it still feels clean and easy for the user.

From a practical side, it helps a lot:

  • People find what they want faster

  • The page doesn’t feel messy even with many options

  • I don’t need heavy development to make it work

So for me, it’s not just a “calendar” , it becomes a smart way to organize and present services. That flexibility is what makes it stand out.

I LOVE the portfolio widget because I’m obsessed with visual grids. Everything just looks better in a grid. As someone who can’t code, I find the portfolio widget an effective solution for me to build simple directories that just a need a basic category structure with the use of tags.

The store locator was a surprising but incredibly useful tool for us. We were paying for an ancient piece of expensive software to host details of energy testing facilities in the UK. We were paying hundreds for it annually, but after a quick play with the store locator I realised it could do everything we needed and more.

I rebuilt the content in the widget then cancelled then (very pleased with myself) got rid of the ancient software.

I love the fact that I can have my latest Instagram posts shared on our website and also the Google reviews. We’ve gotten a lot of great compliments on them because we’re able to extensively modify them and make them look on brand and on point, and maintain the nice user experience and coherent branding.

Our most-used widget is the ‘Contact Form.’ We love how adaptable it is and have already installed it on nine websites. It’s incredibly reliable and hasn’t transmitted a single spam message. Great work, Elfsight team!

Elfsight’s widgets have been such an incredible part of expanding my websites, and honestly, it is hard to narrow it down because I use almost all of them in so many different ways. They have helped me grow, automate, and enhance my sites far beyond what I could have done so easily on my own. I especially use the Pop-Up widget and the Events Calendar constantly, and I also deeply appreciate the Countdown Timer, Sales Notification, and Contact Form. But my absolute favorite feature of all is the email notification system connected to the Contact Form, especially the ability to offer coupon codes, receive people’s details instantly by email, and have them added directly to my email list. The Review Response feature in the Google Review Widget is my top pick. Being able to add this widget to a landing page or website and demonstrate that the business is actively involved with the customers experience - and not just how the widget shows the review but that it shows the Owners Response. Appreciating the 4-5 stars (as we all love to be appreciated") and handling 1-3 stars which almost any real business gets from time to time. The openness to make things right is huge. Trust is such a large part of doing business that it’s hard to believe businesses don’t think like the consumer when running their business and realize the need to respond to every customer should be one of their highest priority daily tasks. It can make them so much money. I have clients that credit me with higher profits due to the handling of this one platform alone. Come on people. I’ll Google it…how do you miss that Mr. or Ms. business owner. That is why this is my fav.
