Will there be an announcement when we can start using the appointment booker, or is it better to just check back here regularly?
Looking forward to this one!
Ingrid
I would already be happy if it has the same options as Calendly - free version. Because, Calendly is not very pretty, with hardly any styling options at all, and difficult to handle (awkward huge padding that cannot be adjusted, bad responsiveness, etc.). Elfsight will probably give us many more styling options if it’s anything like the other widgets!! Or add a little CSS panel for that!
Just wondering whether it will be possible to use a stripped-down version of just the actual calendar month where the dates can be clicked, without the whole promo panel that you see to the right, so you can embed it on a page just to provide a clickable feature for making an appointment. You would not necessarily want to show your opening times, picture and business statement inside the appointment scheduler, as that kind of business promo will already be there all over your website.
And will it be possible to program only specific days/hours to show up as bookable in the next step after a day is clicked? And grey out days that are not available at all? And set time gaps between appointments, set the number of appointments per day, or set a minimum time between making the booking and the appointment to take place (basically just what the free version of Calendly does)?
Difficult to see from the screenshots, but I think Helga will tell us it does AT LEAST the settings that we can choose in the free version of Calendly and then some!
@Ingrid_van_Waard since we’re still addressing some challenges with updates inside your Elfsight dashboard , we’re posting all news and updates here in the community. We’ll also announce new widgets in our monthly digest newsletter, so you won’t miss anything
As for the available options:
-
promotional panel typically seen on the right: If you’re referring to something like a business card, it will be included in the widget but can be deactivated. We decided to add this card to let you share a widget via a link. Also, your clients will have an option to contact you in case of any difficulties while making an appointment.
-
program specific days/hours as bookable and grey out non-available days: This will definitely be supported! Plus, you’ll be able to exclude specific days and manage everything easily via Google Calendar if you choose to integrate it.
-
set gaps between appointments: This feature will not be available in the first release, but it’s highly likely we’ll include it in the second release.
-
limit the number of appointments per day: Same as the above
-
set a minimum lead time between booking and the appointment itself: yes, this option will be available right away.
Thank you very much for your interest, guys! Insider info just for you: the widget is under code review, which means the release day is drawing near!
@Helga In the screenshots of the widget you posted a few weeks ago now, what does the Add Notes button mean? Do you have a screenshot of the field that appears when clicked?
@romano97002, yeah, we’re happy about it, too!
As for the Add Notes button, here’s how it’s going to look in action
Hi @helga and thank you for your response,
Thanks for the screenshot
Regarding the features to be developed first after the widget is released, I will post them here:
It is essential to be able to have the means of payment first: bank card and manual payment (check and bank transfer)
Thanks.
You’re welcome!
Although we agree and understand that the payment option is important, we’re planing to add it in our future releases
Hi, it would be good if we can have those features : 1. things to book (people like doctors for example, things (car, bike, places, …)). 2. for each category to book it would be good to have the possibility to define a grid of minimum and maximum time booked (e.g : each booking for a doctor diary would be 30 minutes pre-set). 3. for each category to book it would good to easily say (diary is opened to be booked and no booking for the next 2 weeks and no possibility to book on week-end - just by telling the app what are the opened booking time in the year ). 4 send reminders (email, …) to the person who booked an appointment
Thank you
Hi Helga,
One more question about the upcoming Appointment Booking Plugin:
Since payments are not a part of the plugin at the beginning, will it be possible to route the confirmation button to a certain url link?
F.e. if someone books and click on confirm booking button, can the click route the customer f.e. to a payment site? F.e. to paypal or any other payment link?
This would help to get a payment from the customer to secure the booking.
Thank you for letting us know.
Brgds, Markus
Hey everyone
We are thrilled to announce that the Appointment Booking app is finally here!!!
Find more details in our post - [NEW WIDGET]: Say hello to Appointment Booking! 🚀
Folks, important note: we’ve reviewed all your comments in this thread and added them to our Wishlist for further implementation. Please vote for the requests you need to see next, we’ll be happy to consider them first!
I’m not sure if this has been brought up, but is there a way you can add a google/Outlook calendar integration? This way when a booking is completed, there is no conflict created because the calendar won’t accept a booking that is already scheduled…
A post was split to a new topic: Appointment Booking customization
Hi @Mike10
Google Calendar integration is already available in the app:
As for the Outlook integration, we’ve added this idea to the Wishlist. Please vote for this feature in order to not miss any important updates
