We currently use a google form and manually import them. It would be nice to have one with approval to post.

Would love to be able to have my members (7,800 members) submit a calendar event that would auto populate information and send me a notice to review and approve without having to enter all the info myself.

would need to be something we can select required information in order for event to be submitted.

It would be a great solution if clients of my company could add events themselves without needing me.

This would be a game changer for me! Currently having to use third party software to gather my squarespace form submissions, pull the data into a google calendar that then gets pulled into this plugin. it would save a huge amount of dodgy workarounds to keep my website running as intended!

you can use zapier to pull the data from the google form into a google calendar that then feeds into this plugin.

Yes! Please! That would be so helpful. To add them automatically would be fantastic, but eveen just a ā€œSubmit Your Eventā€ button would be very helpful. Responses could be emailed with the understanding the submission has to be approved first.

Looking forward to seeing this come to be, we’ve currently removed events from our website due to the demand on time to keep them updated. Is there a guide on a delivery date of changes to the current calendar to allow user submissions / approvals via the admin?

To add further it would be good if the admin was able to set what was mandatory to have in a submission, for example images, times, dates and description.

@Kristi_Kirk_Trent, @Phil Thanks a lot for your comments!

I also love the ā€œSubmit Eventā€ idea, but I’m afraid we don’t have any updates about this request right now

This widget is quite complex itself and almost all improvements require lots of work to make everything work smoothly. Right now we’re working on 9 other features for the Event Calendar widget: Topics tagged In-Progress, but maybe this request will be included on one of the next roadmap.

We’ll make sure to update you here as soon as we have any news

I’ve created a custom event request form using the Form Widget. If that could integrate with the Calendar widget, and add an approval prior to getting published, then that would be ideal!

Thank you so much for the feedback!

We also have a request for the Google Calendar integration in the Form Builder. Feel free to upvote it here :slightly_smiling_face: - Would be nice to have integration with google calendar

Posting again here so others can see: We love how customizable Elfsight’s calendar widget has become! But I’m still doing the manual work of re-entering all our events’ submitted info on a separate form gatherer. I’d like them to be able to do this on their own with the same fields we have now, and with approval from admin before it’s published. Any estimate on a timeline for this feature?

Hey there, @user2776 :waving_hand:

Many thanks for sharing your thoughts with the Community!

I couldn’t agree more that this feature would greatly enhance our app, but, unfortunately, we don’t have any ETA yet.

The thing is that we consider requests based on their complexity and number of votes. Currently, we have a bunch of requests with the higher priority and our devs are focused on them now.

As soon as we have any news about this request, we’ll promptly update you in this thread :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes — I strongly support this feature. Allowing users to add their own events to the calendar widget would make it far more interactive and community-driven. It would help event organizers, venues, and audiences keep everything up to date in one place.

I hope this feature gets developed soon. It’s such a hassle to get the form information and then enter it manually into the calendar! We need a solution!

This is quite a complex, but truly game-changing feature, and it’s gained many votes from the Community. We also hope the devs will be able to consider it in one of the future updates.

Hi everyone, has anyone got a work around? Manual adding events from the community is becoming to big of a job.

A form to posting event.

zapier, or api or anything, what are people using to automate this process?
