Working a WIX website. I would like to add a YouTube video and looking for a solution where the latest video uploaded to YouTube would be automatically update on the website as well. I only need a single video window, not the entire channel. This is for a church, where I would like to have the latest Sunday Service uploaded. I don’t want to do this manually every week. THe pastor uploads the video to YouTube and the widget would updated on the website. Is your YouTube widget capable of doing this even for single video space? I don’t want the entire channel featured on the website. Thanks!!!
Hi there, @user25664 and welcome to the Community
To display only the latest video from your channel, you should add a link to your channel on the Source tab and set 1 column and 1 row on the Layout tab:
This way, the latest video from your channel will be displayed in the widget and it will be updated every 24 hours.
Due to the technical restrictions, tit’s impossible to show new videos right away, but we have this idea on the Wishlist, Feel free to upvote it - Refresh immediately - no cache
If you have any questions left or any assistance is needed, I’ll be happy to help
Hi, thank you for your reply. So when I add the channel URL to the source, nothing happens. It still displays that placeholder Marvel video. Doesn’t seem to load the channel. This is the channel URL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0OKppkb6tMXkamdxkreImw Can you help? Thank you so much!!
This happens because you’ve added a link to the video with Marvel preview to the Source Group:
If you remove this source group, the latest video from your channel will be displayed
Thank you so much it works. What happens if I create a playlist in YouTube and I want the latest video from there to play in the widget? Also when I tested the website I hover over the video it show the text but doesn’t show the play button. Is this normal? Thank you so much!
The same with the playlist, the latest video will be displayed if you choose 1 column and 1 row. The Play button doesn’t show up on hover because you’ve chosen a Cinema video layout. However, if you switch it to the Classic layout, the Play button will be displayed on hover
Thank you so much for all your help!!!
No problem!
