Send Results to email/spreadsheet

Plus 1 on this functionality. Glad this is in the dev/testing stage, and I look forward to it being released because it would be a powerful tool for users to get the estimate and take the next step. Thank you!

Hello everyone! Try as we might, we weren’t able to roll out this long-awaited feature in 2024, and we’re truly sorry about this :disappointed:

It might not be obvious, but this is a very complex feature, and, unfortunately, we keep encountering bugs during testing. I assure you that we’re doing everything we can to hit a Release button as soon as possible :raised_hands:t2:

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding!

Hi @user19716, this request is a top priority for us, and we’re doing everything we can to release it as soon as possible.

We hope no issues will arise during the Test and Business Review stages. I’ll keep you posted on how things are going in this thread :pray:t2:

Hi Helga and Max, even a simple javascript to screenshot the results of the calculator html as a pdf and dump it into a separate form (* page) to email to someone would be great. Most people likely don’t need a full database of storing results. We’ve experimented with this here at the office and were able to get it sorta going… (ie - javascript print function - default pdf output - reformatting via code etc. - script a default save to documents folder via button etc… The main issue is the formatting ) Isn’t there an easy way to do this with access to your backend code? I realize there’s some browser specific issues to get around but this is basically dumping store values into a saveable form - that can be emailed - or script a screenshot (png) to another page formatted for printing with an email / print button. I don’t think people need a full database or php backend. I understand there’s more going on under the hood but this is done all the time on the web with and without backend database. amazon cart, checkout carts, order summaries, etc.

Thanks and please let us know status updates - we all appreciate the good work done on this program.

I very much concur. If we can get a json object outline it would go a long way. We’re all willing to do some additional work on our side.

Hi guys!

As Helga mentioned in this thread, this feature is in the Code Review stage now.

Unfortunately, it’s hard to share a specific timeline, but our devs are doing our best to deliver it as soon as possible. If everything goes smoothly, it will move to the Business Review stage soon.

We’ll immediately inform you here once we receive any news!

I believe the Elfsight team is working hard on other areas like the AI chatbot… trust that they are working hard and will deliver results as soon as they can!

Really waiting for this to finish.

If not finished soon, unfortunately, we will try to recreate this ourselves.

@rob_account Let’s coordinate—we’re at the same point; I’ve got some dev and product resources. The UI and logic Elfsight has is killer, but its not un-recreatable. We can probably dig under the hood and see if they’re using something like LaTex. …just some initial thoughts.

Yes, basically just a few input fields for name and email address, and then have the whole form emailed to us. Something like that?
