Search bar for filters

I am loving the calendar and its intricacy, but I am going to be adding a lot of Venues and event types. A drop down bar with 30 options would get tedious. It would be awesome for the viewer to have a search bar that narrows their options. Like zip code, or actual event/venue name(Ideally being able to understand slight misspelling and/or suggested auto fill). Even having an option to add search tags when setting up the event. Like “The Nitro Compound” could be searched as “TNC” if added to the tags. It would probably be a hassle to create, but having an “events near me” option would be the cherry on top IMO. Any, all or one of these would be a huge addition IMO. Thank you all for the amazing calendar!

Greetings and welcome to the Community, @Shelton_Flowers

Sounds reasonable, thanks for sharing your idea! If more users show their interest in the filter search, we’ll try to consider this opportunity in the future :slightly_smiling_face:

YES! I’d love a search feature on the Event Calendar widgets. This is a webpage with the Elfsight Event Calendar widget I’d love to make searchable: https://cac.wa.edu.au/whats-on

So parents can type in “camp” or “graduation” or “concert” or “Year 9” or “excursion” and jump to those events.

Thanks a lot for sharing your use case, @user21461!

Agree, the more filters there are, the harder it is to navigate without a search option. Hopefully, we’ll add this idea to our roadmap soon

Our example is for Hosts, but would be helpful on any of the filters.
We have a list of 65 Hosts who are presenting at our convention. Currently, the first 6 Hosts are shown then a “Show More” link is provided. Our users have asked that there be a search function so they have a search option in the filters so they can type in the Host’s name that they want to filter for without having to scroll through everything.

Hi there, @Wendy_Trakes :waving_hand:

Thanks a lot for the feedback!

We already have this idea on the Wishlist. I’ve merged your comment with the existing request, where we’ll keep you updated :slightly_smiling_face:
