Question about views

Awsome thank you very much, not sure if you can help but I got a message yesterday saying 70% of my widget traffic has been used but my site has no traffic?

Hi @user27108 :waving_hand:

I’m very sorry to hear about this issue! Here are some things that may explain this situation:

  • I recommend you to check our article describing possible reasons that may affect the speed of view counting - Why my views have gone so fast.

  • Also, I have to mention that Google Analytics and other tools count views differently than us, that’s why there will be incoherence between their statistics and Elfsight’s one.

If you’re still certain that there’s a huge divergence, please send us your pageviews statistics. We’ll try our best to find out what’s happening there :slightly_smiling_face:

Mate I have to be honest this widget cost 2x more than my website hosting and I’m being told it’s simply going to break my website if bots crawl it, I would like a refund

Hi @user27108 :waving_hand:,

I’m really sorry for the inconvenience!

I just want to clarify that while you’ve used up 70% of your views for the Google Reviews app, you still have 1,500 views left, and your limit will reset in 2 days. So, your current view limit should be enough for your website’s traffic.

However, I understand you’ve noticed a significant discrepancy in the stats, and I’d be happy to investigate this further. In the screenshot you shared, I see the active user stats, but we’ll need the pageview stats from the past month.

Here’s how you can find that information: Reports → Engagement → Pages and ScreensViews.

Could you please share that with me?
