Pop up Widget Notify Respondants Email HELP

Hi I am new to elf sight and very stuck with trying to get my discount pop up code working. I don’t have any tech knowledge, but have followed all instructions & watched the video.

The issue is that that I don’t know how to set up my ‘Email server using SMTP’

I have filled out the ‘notify respondents email’, but all that comes through when I click ‘submit’ and test the pop up, is a ‘new form submission to my email’ (Spam folder), but no email with the discount code (which should be sent to the person clicking the ‘submit’). I have used a test email address.

Does this make sense, I really hope someone can help as I am close to giving up! Here is a link to the widget. It would be absolutely amazing if I could get it to work  Please help my poor tired brain to figure this out

Hi there, @Grainne1 and welcome to the Community :waving_hand:

I’ve just tested your widget and the email was successfully delivered to the submitted email address:

Could you please test it out once again and let me know if the issue still persists?

As for the SMTP feature, you’re going to use the Yahoo email as the Email Sender. If so, you should follow these steps:

  1. Open the Form element’s settings and select Email Notifications:

  1. Go to the Email Sender Settings and click Add Email Sender:slight_smile:

  1. Now you should fill in the form to set up the connection:

Email Address - Enter the email address you’re going to use as a sender

SMTP Host - smtp.mail.yahoo.com (if you’re going to use Yahoo email)

Username and Password - Enter your Yahoo mail address and password

Please test it out and let me know if it worked

Thanks so much for all of the info, this is super helpful. I have followed the steps, and I can see it is working now. It is going into Spam mail though? I’m not sure if that is standard.

I will see if I can get the SMTP up and working now, I just have to figure out how to get back in to my email, as they have locked me out when I was trying to retrieve my password :frowning:

This is great though, thankyou, appreciate the advice. I will get there in the end!

Yep, the submissions might end up in the Spam folder. Please try to mark the email with the submission as not Spam. It should resolve the issue :slightly_smiling_face:

Also, setting up the SMTP connection should prevent emails from going to Spam.
