The pop up when viewed on the desktop appears to be a fixed number of pixels from the top of the widget. Can this position be changed, or made dynamic, so that the pop up is centered regardless of screen size?

As far as I see, your widget is installed on Google Sites. Due to the peculiarities of the Google Sites platform, all popup and floating elements aren’t displayed correctly because of the iframe limitations and, unfortunately, there is nothing can be done with it.

I am using wix for the site. Is there not something I can specify with some CSS code as to where the pop up is placed. I searched the Elfsite forum, and did find something that looked hopeful under Pop up - but I could not work out how to adapt the code.

Ah, apologies about that!
On Wix, this issue also occurs because of the iframes. However, the good news is that it’s possible to fix the issue here. You just need to reinstall the widget avoiding iframes - Installing Elfsight widget on Wix avoiding iFrame - Elfsight Help Center
