It would be great if the user clicks on “get tickets” and the event opens in the same window and not a new one. The popup preview is not sufficient.

I do not want the link to open in a new browser. This link is to a product and I want the product to add to cart. So the fact that it opens in new window effects the check out experience.

Here’s where you will find it:
Content tab → Event → Button → Button Link (gear icon):
@SolveigPriebe it seems you’re using Event Calendar from Shopify market, and I’m afraid this is a separate app requiring a separate update, I’m really sorry about it 
I hope we will add this feature to our Shopify app too, but you’re very welcome to check out our cloud Event Calendar where this option is presented already
