Not receiving a comment notification

  • Issue description: Not receiving a comment notification (although I see the comment on the dashboard). FYI, I’m using the comment widget on a Tumblr website. Thank you in advance for your help.

@Joey_J,

By your mention of “dashboard” I’m guessing this might be a WordPress site? If so, WordPress has a known problem sending mail reliably because it uses the php_mail() function, which sends unauthenticated messages. I fixed this on a customer site (as well as one of my own) using the WP Mail SMTP plugin and configuring Brevo as the mailer.

Thanks @Bob_Wilson for chiming in. The dashboard means Comment widget’s dashboard on elfsight. I see the comment there, but didn’t get a notification email. FYI, it’s a Tumblr website :sweat_smile: , not WordPress.
