Hello, I was hoping if you guys could make a light-dark mode widget for Wix websites as I would like to let me users click it to change the website theme to light or dark depending on their preference and to save the preference using browser cookies so when they come back to the site it will remember what preference they had. Thanks!

I love the idea of saving the preferences for a user, and we even have such a widget in mind: Dark Mode widget - add a stats widget to your website (2024)
At the moment we have to consider the most popular requests first, so feel free to vote for all the ideas you find interesting to bump them up

make it work on the js as well, i mean lot dark mode widgets don’t work on my e-commerce site, it either gets hidden behind the website/ui or it doesn’t completely work like: it doesn’t work on products - as its seperately loaded along or after site. 2) make it auto work & detect preference.

Do you use Wix for your website because that is what I use but every dark mode widgets I try to use don’t work?
It was actually ecwid, now I’ve shifted to woocomere by WordPress

Cool, I never heard of that platform before.
Try darkmode.js if it allows to put a code

It does allow me to put code but it doesn’t work.
An html you can embed that allows you to toggle your site between a light mode and a dark mode.

We have a Dark Mode widget in our Coming Soon project, so the chances are we’ll take it under consideration
At the moment we’re working on building other widgets so I cannot set an ETA for this one, unfortunately, but I’ll keep you updated in this thread.

You allready have that in the dashboard with cloud and sun, with moon and stars.

No not correct. Maybe you can do that. I was referring to the website appearance if that is possible
