Could you please improve the accuracy of the translation? There are several grammatical errors, and an urgent update is needed. For example, “you” is incorrectly translated as “she.” There are quite a few mistakes throughout the text.
Hey there, @Christoph_Hennevogel
A huge thank you for sharing your feedback!
The thing is, that our widget is now based on the Google Translate, and this is the exact result we get from the Google Translate directly.
However, I completely understand your point and agree that the translation could use some improvement. This idea is already on the Wishlist, and I’ve moved your comment to the related discussion, where we’ll keep you in the loop
Thanks for your message!
However, we’ve just tested it ourselves using the official Google Translate tool, and the result is completely different from what your widget currently shows. So it seems there must be a discrepancy somewhere.
Here’s a screenshot for reference:
We wanted to let you know because this indicates that your widget is not displaying the actual Google Translate output. Maybe there’s an outdated integration or a caching issue?
Thanks again for your efforts — we’re happy to help clarify things!
Best regards,
Hi there, @Christoph_Hennevogel
The issue occurred because the widget translated it as separate words, but not as a whole phrase. However, we’ve fixed the issue using this code in the Custom JS field on the Settings tab of your widget’s settings:
const targetPhrase = document.querySelector("[data-id='UHdj4lFvh-lN5tRkRFVbx'] span");
if (targetPhrase) {
targetPhrase.textContent = targetPhrase.textContent;
}
Check it out and let me know if it’s fine now
Hello, thank you very much. Yes, it worked – but only for one section of the website. The other headings are still being translated word by word instead of as a full sentence.
Do you know why that might be?
Thanks!
Here are the screenshots.
I’ve forwarded this issue to the devs. They’ll investigate it further, and I’ll let you know once any news comes up
Hi there, @Christoph_Hennevogel
To fix the issue, we’ll need temporary access to your website’s backend: login link, temporary login and password.
