Hello,
As the title suggests, is there a way to make each form submission send as individual emails rather than as a part of one giant thread? If not, my client will want me to change to a native form that can do this.

The solution by @tuanphan should perfectly work in your use case!
Basically, this is a Google Mail feature when emails with the same subject and sender are grouped into one thread.
Just in case you’d like to move all emails into separate threads, not just form submissions, you can disable Conversation View option in Google Mail settings:
