Free Messages for Development

Numerous other sites offer free messages during backend development. This allows the account holder to make changes to the features of the chatbot and refine the “AI” instructions. I’d name the platforms, but previous posts have been pulled because I mentioned third-party sites. Simply put, monthly message allotments should only be counted for front-end users.

Hello there,

Thank you so much for the feedback and interest in helping us improve our app!

I totally get your concerns and agree that having the option to test widgets without limits would be fantastic. However, we need to strike a balance between keeping our widgets high-quality and affordable. Since every interaction with the bot comes with an additional cost, usage limits are just necessary now.

That said, we’re always working on making our apps better, and your feedback means a lot to us. If we have any news regarding the unlimited messages for testing purposes, we’ll be sure to update you right away :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks again for your patience and understanding :folded_hands:

I’ve mentioned this in earlier discussions, but for our team the free license was more than sufficient to evaluate Elfsight Chatbot’s interface and compare the accuracy of its replies—based on our own training documents—with competitor platforms.

Once we reached that stage, moving to the $10/month Pro license gave us more than enough capacity for thorough testing and ongoing refinement.

In our view, if the functionality of a chatbot isn’t worth investing $120 for a full year, it’s a strong indicator that the project itself may not justify the time and effort required.
