Default filter events in the region where the user is located

We would like to filter based upon a defined region. This would be cities (or counties, or state) that make up a region.

For example, New York City Metro Area, SF Bay Area, Santa Cruz, MidCoast Maine, Southern Maine, Greater Denver (similar to Craigslist regions), and the cities would be identified for each region.

The use case would be for in person events for a particular demographic and interest.

This is a nice suggestion, but quite difficult to implement, too. Anyway, if this request is going to gain ground, we’ll try to make it happen in one of the future updates :slightly_smiling_face:
