Critical loading issues in Russia

Hello Elfsight Team,
I am writing to report a critical issue regarding your service in Russia.

Currently, both the widgets and the Elfsight website (including the User Dashboard/Admin Panel) are in a state of ‘eternal loading’ and fail to open without a VPN.
It is highly likely that your infrastructure (CDNs and domains) is being targeted by local DPI throttling systems.

Your users in Russia are facing a complete service blackout. Are you aware of this, and do you have any plans to implement mirrored domains or alternative access points that aren’t affected by these restrictions?

Many of us would like to continue using Elfsight, but the service is currently unreachable for both site owners and visitors.

Please let us know if there is a technical workaround or if you are working on a fix for this region.

Hello there, @Roman5 :waving_hand:

I deeply apologize for all the inconvenience!

I see that my colleague Oksana has already reached out to you in a support ticket and explained the reasons behind this situation.

As Oksana mentioned, it’s related to a slowdown of the Cloudflare servers in the territory of the Russian Federation. These servers are used by our service for fast data delivery and proper widget loading.

Because of this slowdown, in some cases, the widget may not fully load in time, resulting in the user seeing a blank screen.

Using a VPN allows you to bypass this limitation since the traffic goes around the slowed routes. You can read more about it here: Russian Internet users are unable to access the open Internet.

I’m very sorry to admit that we cannot affect this situation and speed up the widget loading in the Russian Federation

If you have any questions left, please contact Oksana. She’ll be happy to help!
