Hi there @Mert_Nokay

Interesting case, thanks for sharing! If this request gets more support from others, we’ll try to think it over in the future :slightly_smiling_face:

I would also like a calculated price to be added as a single item to the cart.

Hi, I would also like a calculated price, based on the selected options from the widget, to be added as a single item in the Wix cart, including all described options and the total price.

Can Max, the Support Specialist, provide us with a timeline for this feature? Otherwise, we may need to explore other calculator options.

Looking forward to your response.

Hi there, @user20610

I am afraid it’s hard to share the ETA now. I am sorry!

The thing is that we consider requests based on their complexity and popularity. Currently, we have a bunch of requests with the higher priority and our devs are focused on them.

If we receive any news from the devs, we’ll update you here right away. But at this point, it’s hard to give any predictions.

Thank you for pointing us in this direction and yes, welcome to the Community

Could this also be turned around? So the total price of the products in the shopping cart is feeded to the calculator to display a financial lease / APR monthly payment?

This way our customers can decide whether they would like to purchase or lease our products.

Thanks!

Hi @StoreVanNederland_Be :waving_hand:

Unfortunately, there is no workaround to implement this use case. I am really sorry!

If we find a temporary solution or have any updates on this request, we’ll promptly update you here :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @Max, is there any chance this’ll become a feature in the coming year? I love the Elfsight calculator and lead form attached to it, but without a link with the shopping cart total, the widget is more a standalone option than an integrated part of the buying process.

Thnanks and enjoy the weekend!

Hi,

since the webhook integration, the calculator can send data to external applications. You’d need to check if your shop system is capable of receiving the data or providing a webhook URL. If so, it would work. I don’t know how else to implement this idea, unless you offer specific, selected shop systems for integration.

Dear friends, after looking into it with the dev team, I am sorry to say that we won’t be able to deliver this feature on our side.

Connecting the Calculator widget to a store cart is not something we can implement in a universal way. Adding items to a cart always depends on the specific e-commerce platform (and often the exact theme/setup) a website is built on, so it would require a dedicated integration for each platform.

With the huge variety of website builders and carts out there, maintaining platform-specific integrations is not something we can realistically support.

That said, if your platform provides an API/endpoint for adding items to the cart, you may be able to achieve this via a custom solution on your end: a custom JS script can catch the Calculator’s action button click, collect the calculated values, and send them to your store’s endpoint to add the relevant item(s) to the cart.

This would need to be implemented and maintained by your team or developer, since it’s fully dependent on your platform’s cart logic.

We hope this gives a clear picture of why we can’t ship it as a built-in feature. Thanks a lot for your understanding :folded_hands:

Hi @Sina and @Max thanks for the detailed feedback.

To reiterate and further clarify, our use case is exact the other way around.

So instead of sending the results of the calculator to the cart or 1:1 to a payment provider, receiving the pricing data of the product page / cart total as a starting point to calculate the loan details (amount, interest, monthly payment). Please find an example below.

A customer comes to our webshop and visits the product page of our floor drawer module offer.

In the example the price of the the product is stated as € 2.548,84.
As a placeholder, we set the loan amount by default at € 2.500 in the widget. But the loan amount can range from € 1.000 to € 15.000.

So we like to request to have the (aggregated total) price of the product or the cart to be send ánd displayed in the calculator widget so the customer doesn’t have to adjust the widget manually.

The value in having this solution (for a ton of use cases I’d reckon), that the customer already receives a tailor made financial lease offer at the page or shopping cart! How awesome is that!?

To summarize, I think the widget needs the functionality to receive a webhooks ilo sending them.
Plus, this will also solve the myriad of custom, platform specific integrations to be developed as most e-commerce platforms include a webhooks functionality.

Love to hear your thoughts (or other possible solutions  )

You’re right, this is quite a different use case and idea fro this functionality is already on the Wishlist - Dynamically pull product price to calculator.

At the moment, we don’t have a workaround for the implementation of this use case. However, if anything changes, we’ll update you in the Wishlist thread :slightly_smiling_face:
