Change image focus and improve search option in Team Showcase

I just set one of these up for a client today. I found it easy to use but had a couple of hiccups.

  1. I had to crop some of the photos myself because there was no way to change the focus area, position the photo, or align it within the frame.

  2. The additional photo appears to be very specific in size. However, I needed to add company logos that were not consistent in size. The workaround was to use the logo template (500px square) in Canva and place the logo in the center. (I will need to go back and fix a lot of logos!)

  3. The Search Function - I was very excited for this feature! Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite work the way that I anticipated. For instance, when entering the words “placement, place, or the letters pla” the return is not fully correct.
    The company Advanced Senior Planning should come up under these three groups: Placement | Hospice
    Placement | Private Care
    Placement | Senior Placement & Assisted Living

Advanced Senior Planning doesn’t appear under Placement | Private Care.

I tried searching for Attorneys, but the search returned nothing. If I search “at” the search returns with only one category even though there are three groups.

So, it appears that the search function doesn’t particularly search for group/categories but rather the company (team) name or something in the description.

Please add the Group names to the search function.

  1. Yes, unfortunately, we currently don’t support an option to change images inside the widget. However, we have this request in our Wishlist, so feel free to vote on it: Ability to crop images

  2. Could you please elaborate on your specific case and send me a screenshot of how additional photos look on your end before the adjustments you’ve made? I’ll be happy to look into this for you :slightly_smiling_face:

  3. Yes, currently you can search only by Name, Position, Email, Phone, and Location. I agree that it would be awesome to search by groups as well, and we’ve added this idea to the Wishlist. You can keep tabs on it right here - Search by group name

Please take another look at my team showcase above. You’re searching for Stephanie in the Insurance group. She is with State Farm. I have added her logo as an additional photo. The file is a PNG and is 203 x 28 in pixels. You’ll see how it appears much larger than what is allowed. If I take the same image and center it into a square (500x500px) it will fit. I’ve done that with most of the logos in this particular showcase.

Great news - our devs have found a custom solution for your case. Just add this code to the Custom CSS field on the Style tab of your widget’s settings, and the logos should look great:

It works, Thank You! However, I think that setting the logos into a square format as I did with most of the other logos, they look much better as they appear to be padded and the resolution looks clearer.
