Current scenario:
On the teams showcase, I upload a photo, however, there’s no way to control the cropping on the Summary. This is shown below, where the head of the first person is cut off.
When I click on the tile, their photo looks great beside their bio.
When I view the second person’s headshot, their head is perfectly aligned, but when I click into their bio there’s too much space at the top of the photo. [I’m unable to post another picture because I’m too new of a user (?). ]
Ideally, I’d prefer to be able to select a focal point in photos to ensure that this cropping is better suited to the images - SquareSpace offers something like this. Using focal points to center images – Squarespace Help Center
Another solution would be to embrace what is implemented in the Portfolio Widget, which offers an option to include a separate cover image. This could work for the Summary/Overview display to solve the cropping/focal issue as users can tailor the size of the image to match the display areas.
Finally, having some transparency over best dimensions of the images would be welcome. Outlining which areas are shown in the Overview/Summary would allow to better prepare the image to ensure it displays at its best.
