When the token limit for messages has been reached, the ai chatbot widget is automatically deactivated by Elfsight on both the frontend and backend (configurator). Understood.
However, under the above condition – when our site is visited – the ai chatbot widget flashes briefly on the frontend before it completely disappears. Our customers see it. Not good!
My temporary solution is to disable the HTML code snippet for the chatbot in the backend and refresh our site’s cache.
Can you guys please look into this and provide a solution? (i.e, no flashing when the widget reaches its message limit).
Unfortunately, I disabled the widget (our code snippet) and purged our site’s cache, so will not be able to replicate the issue. However, I did try to do that but the flash occurs in a micro-second so the event – while visible – is difficult to capture as a screenshot or screencast.
This is the second time me and team have observed this.
Can you please test the above at your end with your test website(s)?
Test Procedure:
Environment: PHP 8+, WP 6.9.4, Cloudflare
Install widget via code snippet (use WPCode or Code Snippets plugin).
Cache entire website using a cache plugin and/or CDN (e.g., Cloudflare)
Allow widget to run out of message tokens.
Visit the site pages where the widget typically displays.
Scroll screen. The widget will flash for a micro-second or so.
Thanks for confirming! I’m so glad to hear that everything’s been sorted out
I took a look at your account, and your widget was deactivated because you hit the views limit. As for the message limit, you’ve still got 114 messages left until the next refresh on April 14.
If you find that the current limits on your plan aren’t quite enough, you can upgrade to a higher plan that offers more views and messages.
