Allow users to search by state in the widget, showing only results within the selected state and excluding entries from other regions.

My website, vamos.barcelona, ​​is solely about Barcelona. Search results often don’t appear that are visible on the map when zoomed in, and which should be displayed by default. For example, if you search for Nike, Apple, etc., only results for Barcelona should appear (currently, for Nike, I get results for Ganzi, Sichuan, China, Ganzi, Sichuan, China | Karu, Nasarawa, Nigeria, Karu, Nasarawa, Nigeria + Ferizaj, Kosovo, Ferizaj, Kosovo… which is completely chaotic and unmanageable for a visitor). However, if you search for “nike, barcelona, ​​spain,” the results appear correctly; but this is a very inconvenient way to search for a website focused on local interests. We are using the Elfsight Store Locator on our Danish website, where all our locations are based in Denmark.
The issue is that when Danish users search by postal code, the search field suggests addresses and postal codes from many other countries before showing relevant Danish results. For example, when searching for a Danish postal code like “4621”, the suggestions include locations in Australia, Hungary, Austria, the Netherlands, New Zealand, etc.
This creates a confusing user experience, because our customers are only looking for LOXAM branches in Denmark.
We also experience another issue when users search for a Danish city where we do not have a store. Instead of suggesting the specific city, the search often returns the entire region as a selectable option. This makes the search less precise and can confuse users, as they expect to search for the city itself — not a broader region.
We would like to request a feature where it is possible to restrict the search/geocoding results to a specific country - in our case Denmark. Ideally, this could be configured in the widget settings, for example:
Search country restriction: Denmark
or
Limit search suggestions to selected country/countries
It would also be helpful if city searches could prioritize exact city matches, even when there is no store located directly in that city, instead of defaulting to a broader region.
This would make both postal code and city searches much more relevant and user-friendly for local store locator setups.

I totally get your point and I am sorry it’s impossible to restrict search results by countries now. We already have this idea on the Wishlist and I’ve added your comment there too.
If more users support this request, we might think it over down the line
