A Forum widget sounds like a really cool and promising idea — and we’re sorry it’s not in our catalog (yet!). To be honest, it goes a bit beyond the scope of our current widget concept, and at the moment, we don’t have a solution that’s both functional and affordable enough to fit our business model.
That said, we haven’t given up on the idea, and we’ll definitely share any updates here if that changes

Really looking forward to the Forum widget. I have used some of your paid and free widgets before and I LOVE the ease of use of them. Could there me additional customization options on some of the paid ones? Yes, but I realize you need to balance the simplicity, keeping it as lightweight as possible, whilst providing as many customizations as possible without tipping that balance, and I think you guys do a good job of that. As for the other forum options I have seen out there, they are either too expensive, or do not work great (from I’ve tried anyways). Keep up the great work and get this Forum widget going! Please.

The Forum widget is a bit too complex for our current widget model, which is why we cannot prioritize it over other important features and widgets. But we’re looking forward to releasing the Comments widget soon! Hopefully, it turns out to be a good fit for you too!
Although this request has been on our Wishlist since 2021, that doesn’t necessarily mean we’ve started working on it. We welcome all suggestions from our customers and do our best to consider and implement them, but unfortunately, we can’t guarantee development - it depends on many factors.

Is there any update regarding the forum widget? This feature would be extremely helpful for our projects.
I’d like to share an important usability point that we haven’t seen well-implemented in other forum plugins. On many websites, users are required to register (often via an e-commerce or account system) where no nickname is requested - only first and last name. As a result, most forum plugins automatically display real names as usernames, which raises privacy concerns and is often not acceptable.
What would be ideal is the ability to:
Allow only registered users to create forum posts
But let them choose a custom nickname at the moment of posting, regardless of the name stored in their account
This approach would protect users’ personal data while keeping proper access control, and would solve a very common issue for websites that were not originally designed with a forum in mind.
Such functionality would be a strong differentiator compared to existing forum solutions.
