To take the recipe idea further it would be great to also use the ‘recipe’ format for other uses other than cooking, such as crafts.
e.g.
ingredients should be able to be selected products
method should be ‘how to make it’
shoppable links, photos etc but please keep all the text headings editable so it can be used by other people who are not food based but need a ‘recipe’ format!
Would be even better if customers could then upload their photos under the recipe to share what theirs turned out like!

Could you please provide some details about your specific use case and specify the functionality that is important for you in this app? We’ll try to consider your suggestions when working on the app
It’s not even an afterthought. Lots of us have been asking for it for years. I don’t know why they even leave the coming soon page up. It’s so disappointing.

I’d like to assure you that we didn’t have an intention to give false hopes and mislead you anyhow. However, unfortunately, we just don’t have enough resources to deal with all the requests at the moment. I am so sorry!
This year, we are going to actively develop new widgets and prioritize them based on user votes. Once we receive updates from our dev team, we’ll immediately share all the details in this thread

I’ll add my vote to this thread! Right now it seems like the only option is RecipesGenerator(dot)com and I’ve heard both good & bad things about it. Some say it felt sketchy & didn’t work; others seem to be super happy with it. If you could implement those kinds of features, that’d be what food bloggers & anyone that’s sharing recipes would want, it seems!

Thanks for this info. I have been asking for this feature for years. I’ll take a look at what you just posted to see if it’s compatible with Shopify. Getting recipes on my site that are not in the “products” field has been a nightmare.

I have a non-WP website and really need this feature!
Hey there! I have a client who is on a Shopify website who is currently setup using another recipe plugin that is not the best from a UX standpoint…as well as from the admin. I’d love to see this plugin active as I would definitely be moving them over immediately. Thanks!

Firstly, I’d like to assure you that we didn’t have an intention to mislead you anyhow or give false hopes. We actually have a special section for the upcoming apps and these apps have “In consideration” badge:
However, I agree that this badge might not be super eye-catching and I deeply apologize for all the confusion!
As for the widget release, it’s hard to share the timeline at the moment. The thing is that we consider requests based on their complexity and popularity. At the moment, there are a lot of requests with the higher priority and our devs are focused on them.
If this request gets more votes, it might be prioritized sooner, but it’s hard to give any predictions for now. We’ll be posting here in case of any changes
Any updates on this widget? Sure could use it with a few projects I work on!
