I am really sorry, but there is no way to make the Website Translator work correctly on Google Sites.
Google Sites platform requires all embeddable elements to be installed in an iframe that isolates the elements on the page from each other. This doesn’t let our widget access and translate content outside its own iframe container. You can find more details in this article: Troubleshooting Issues with Website Translator.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience, and I wish I had better news to share. Hopefully, our devs will find a workaround for this in the future, but unfortunately, there’s no timeline yet.
