I tested a few tools, and honestly it felt like user expectations are a bit of a trap here. They expect AI chatbots to be really smart, so when they’re not, it creates more frustration than a simple form or FAQ would. So no, not that simple of a choice
That’s a really good point, expectations can make or break the whole experience. I’ve noticed that when something is labeled “AI”, the bar rises instantly, so even when the chatbot is working as intended, it can still feel underwhelming.
I think often times a simpler setup works better than trying to make the bot do everything
Plus, having an option to contact a human agent could help resolve that frustration.
I agree that a human handoff would be an amazing addition to our AI Chatbot. However, this is a very complex functionality, that’s why it’s hard to give any predictions at the moment.
