Website Translation Link or as Side Button

Hi, I would like to integrate the translator more fully into the site - the current options of floating or inline don’t work well with current design.

Would be amazing if the translation could happen with a simple URL link so it could be integrated into current navigation structures.

Also lovely would be for the language to show up as a button on the right/left side of the screen, like what you do with your popup feature.

Thank you!

Mike

Hi there and welcome to the Community, @user25926 :waving_hand:

Glad to say that you can move the button to the sides using the Position setting for the Floating embed type:

Does this option cover your use case, or you’d still prefer having the URL option?

Thank you. Floating is not ideal - it stays at top even when you scroll down and it obscures content.

Being able to embed it into the header, next to other navigation, or even integrate it directly somehow with existing Squarespace navigation would be ideal, so it feels organic and natural to the site, and not like a bolted on feature.

I don’t know if it’s possible.

Current embed option places it in footer where no one sees it.

Thank you for being so responsive; it’s amazing!

Hi there, @user25926 :waving_hand:

Yep, it’s possible to embed the widget to the website’s header. I see that my colleague Olga is currently working on your support ticket, and she’ll gladly assist you with this request too :slightly_smiling_face:
